Thinking about pre-ordering this game for ps4. Any thoughts about it? Is it worth it?

Definatley worth it, they are making a lot of improvements and adding new bosses and a better PvP system

Why get DS2, when you can buy Bloodborne. DS2 is the worst of the series because Miyazaki didn't work on it. He was developing a masterpiece that is know as Bloodborne. 😉
-
Get Bloodborne, it's dark souls reskinned and debatably harder. (And more fun)
-
You either git gud or die a casul.
-
You have ps4? Buy Bloodborne, 100x better then dark souls 2.
-
It's gunna have exclusives and enemy movements so smarter aI. Cant wait. I can't get it till I work some some more I just blew all my money into bloodborne
-
Get Bloodborne first.
-
Dark souls 2 every time u die & come back your max hp goes down until u use a human effigy thingy to reach full health again....once u run out of them u r screwed....found this out too late....loved ds1 & Demons souls, beat both but ds2 went back to gamestop after I could no longer get my max hp back...really annoying

Get it for Xbox One.
-
heck yea man, this game was amazing on last gen and now wer gettin a beautiful new port to next gen consoles with some added elements, cant freakin wait to jump back in
-
Have you played any of the other games related to it before?
-
I personally think it's the weakest of FromSoftware's recent titles. However, it's still good and well worth playing. You don't need to have played the previous game either.
-
Get ready to break your controller.
-
It's very good. Not to mention that you are getting the dlc, which makes it even better
-
It has a better learning curve for new entrants. Try it and see if you like it. I love it

Not as good as Dark Souls or Bloodborne, but very few games are! Dark Souls 2 is still excellent in it's own right. Buy for sure if you haven't played it yet. I'm really hoping we also get a Dark Souls remake on the PS4. Demon Souls too - although I'm not sure how well it's aged. In my mind it's still the best!
-
Definitely, if you ever get stuck there will be plenty of people to summon for help.
-
I would. I picked it up on the 360 when it first dropped and I'm getting it again for all the dlc and updates. The first was better in some areas but two was far better overall IMO. Nice hard game that will give you a lot of satisfaction when you beat it.

A lot of souls die hards will say -blam!- it get the first 2 or if you have a ps get bloodborne. I have played and best ds2 around 6 times and can't wait for it to come out next month. If you have never played these types of games before then either ds2 or bloodborne should be your best game to get introduced to it. I feel though that ds2 would be best if you are mainly going to the souls series but bloodborne is apparently very good and has been rated higher then ds2. I have not played it and well... Can not. All I know is that I love ds2 and it sounds like it's going to be just as good plus better on the next generation. Very excited.

It's gud
-
It's the easiest one, until you get to the DLC's
-
It's my favorite of the series, and one of my all time favorite games. Played straight through to ng++++ in the first month. It definitely gets more challenging/interesting on subsequent playthroughs. Some of the bosses that were fairly simple became a huge pain.

Edited by RunsWith3Legs: 3/30/2015 8:56:53 AMDark Souls II is definitely the game more casual gamers should pick up if they want to start out the souls series. I find it to be the most forgiving while still keeping the ability to harshly punish at the same time. Story wise it only lightly touches at the first game, playing the second game first still give you the general idea of the history of the land and what's going on, but playing the first beforehand just gives it much more depth. If you want a true Souls experience though I would suggest picking up Dark Souls 1, or God forbid Demon Souls, if you want to know the agony that has turned so many of us into gaming masochists. Bloodborne has been treating me nicely so far to an extent and its a must have if you have a PS4.
