Legit Raiders. A dying breed??
Are there any destiny players left who play to have fun and actually shoot stuff as a team? When I look to raid I want to have fun, make alien heads explode and kill some time. Not just sit there and stare at my ghost for 10 minutes because a hunter is soloing the abyss or warlocks are going to self rez after everything despawns. No one I meet is even willing to try the bridge on crota anymore and it's driving me nuts. Not even on Normal!! People have this game all twisted, getting to 32 is fine, having all the raid guns... Great. But is there anyone left who plays for fun... Or is the end goal all that matters?

My friend and I were in a pickup group the other day that desperately wanted to cheese the bridge, I had no idea how to cheese it, and the guy got pretty pissy with me. "Haven't you done the bridge before?" "Well yeah, all the time, just legitimately."

1 ReplyI feel the same...I always offer to do the bridge legit but 99% of the time the rest of the team doesn't want to...so now I just tell them ok let's build the bridge and I'll run across and hide invis by the lamp and then u guys can go do ur despawn thing...then I run across, kill the gatekeeper and run to the back right corner and kill everything in sight...by the time the team gets it together and all wipe and res everyone I usually have 1 ogre down and working on the other..lol...it's just more fun to shoot shit and do it legit to me ...I don't need the gear and I play for fun..I've got over 50-60 Crota completions and honestly the bridge and deathsinger are the only two fun parts of the raid so why cheese it out

I stopped raiding a few weeks ago because of this. The only fun part of the raid is the bridge and death singer. The challenge is what makes the game fun.

I wouldn't mind trying the bridge legit on hard. Never had a group that even wanted to attempt it and I was always in a rush to get the raids done.

me ... but i dont have dedicated raiders >> trolls are too many >> and yeah everyone wants to go the easy way out i hate having to depend on 5 people I never met to play my entire game .. this is exactly one reason why ! REVIVE ME YO! its normal mode !! but i rarely raid becuz I have no dedicated FTMs

4 RepliesMy raid group refuses to cheese any part of the raid, we boot ransoms who attempt to cheese even if they are the last alive, cheeseing is dumb and takes away from the experience of the game IMO

Love doing vog normal because it's the only raid I could get people to do it fully legit instead of sitting up top for templar and oracles. But it's too easy

I love doing the raids for fun. Gear shouldn't matter to these try hards but it does and it ruins the fun. They take the co-op out of the greatest co-op section of the game.

3 RepliesMaybe if the game rewarded you for more kills people would try and kill everything. As It stands usually the guy with the least amount of kills gets the best reward. Also, after doing the same strike or weekly/nightfall dozens of times people just want the loot to get on to whatever else they feel like doing. They need to do the following, add new strikes or missions bi-weekly or monthly, or at least make the spawns random so that it's not the same exact experience every single time. Same with the raids, maybe add modifiers for a chance at better drops. It's crazy how it seems you can never get that one weapon or piece of armor in a raid but get every other one to drop multiple times. I had a guy I did the vault with get two timepieces from the gatekeeper, at the same time. I have yet to see one with over 30 completions but he got two at once. Fatebringer and vex drop constantly for me, but other have twice the raid completions and don't have any. Hope HoW brings some other game changes with it to keep people interested until comet.

I leave it up to the group...majority rules but unfortunately most people just want to cheese the bridge bc it is faster if u go into that part with a warlock already having their super. I've done it legit numerous times on both difficulties so I know that I personally am capable of doing it.

I run the lamps solo. Build the bridge, get right to the end, stand on a pillar and then invite everyone. Everyone joins then I run into the light. The biggest advantage to this is im guaranteed host for the crota fight.

I play for fun. Most of the time when i raid i will lwave if people just plan to cheese it because then they dont need the extra person anyway

I play Crota so I can be swordbearer but VoG is a pain to play bc usually the ppl doing VoG are scrubs. I got bloodborne this week so I'm gonna finish up what I haven't done on destiny today.

Simply doing the raid legit is no fun after the first few times, all we do it for is loot now.

Id love to do the legit way, but im on ps3 and there are not that many players! My friends are either on pc or not interested in console shooters! I have to get random grps and there are so many people with no clue about what they are doing! Its -blam!-ing annoying and takes forever to get them through legit! Even harder when so many people dont even know the legit way... I even stopped doing vog because of it Only running crota to get the hunger! Crota on hard with rndms is just no fun at all so only completed it twice...

My group doesn't normally do the bridge legit, but we all have 3 characters and just wanna get it out of the way, we then whore ourselves out on the forums to help others. If they have never done it, We will do it all legit and explain the cheese

You need to come with my team. We always do the bridge legit (it's just as fast and way more fun). We still run VoG weekly for fun and we even do Templar from the ground. Add me if you're on XB1 - Wandering Kyng. :-)

Can't remember the last time I did the bridge legit, I'm good either way but it would be cool to play it properly once in a while. Also I hate the people in strikes who just jump on there sparrow and boost straight to the boss, it's boring as -blam!-!

The next go around we had a self res 'lock and cheesed it. I gotta say, once i've done it the "legit" way then i want the fastest way the next time. If you could get glimmer or engrams from enemies in a raid i would certainly like to do it legit. That's not the case though

8 RepliesGuess its just human nature. Dissapointing really. Cant even get ppl to kill all enemys in ROC strikes. Everyone just runs right past everything. My guess is its just to easy to be cheesy
