Legit Raiders. A dying breed??
Are there any destiny players left who play to have fun and actually shoot stuff as a team? When I look to raid I want to have fun, make alien heads explode and kill some time. Not just sit there and stare at my ghost for 10 minutes because a hunter is soloing the abyss or warlocks are going to self rez after everything despawns. No one I meet is even willing to try the bridge on crota anymore and it's driving me nuts. Not even on Normal!! People have this game all twisted, getting to 32 is fine, having all the raid guns... Great. But is there anyone left who plays for fun... Or is the end goal all that matters?

I have zero problems with small bits of cheese, mostly with crota due to the amount of times our team wipes due to crotas many bugs.

1 ReplyThe most fun I have in this game is patrol and bounties with friends. Yes I love raiding and nightfalls but that's mostly for the loot. To just chill and shoot stuff it's patrol and bounties.

Legit raiders are a dying breed = Everyone wants to do the raid as fast as possible because they've already done it before numerous times and are only still playing to grind for items that won't fill the emptiness inside. Let's get this done as fast as possible with cheeses and shorten the amount of time needed in order to get screwed by rng for the 20th time.

Depend. If I'm playing with friends or if I have like an hour before work I'll cheese it but if I know I have plenty of time I'll try to get through it legitimately P.s. I only cheese the bridge. the abyss is way to easy without cheese

2 RepliesIt is way quicker to do it normal on the bridge. Hell the other night we did templar hard on the floor and no teleports. Way faster and easier than relic holder running around while everyone stays up top.

2 RepliesLOL I feel your pain. I remember my first experience playing through this game, "okay everybody wipe..." Me: "huhh wipe..???" Other gamer: "yeah kill yourself" Me: "Why would I do that" Other gamer: "It's just EASIER.. Trustme" There I am sitting there just shaking my head. Wow And then my first run through end of crota. Spending 20 minutes to jump on the side of the cliffs and I'm just looking at the ground bored out of my facking mind. I end up Shooting the ground because theirs nothing else to do. It's an absolute shame. I get paired with lots of 32's as well and they think oh we're so skilled! Top tier levels like omg! But when they actually play they are garbage when it comes down to the nitty gritty execution. We try to get past a certain checkpoint & lots of times they don't have a REAL strategy when it comes down to the basics of survival. It's freaking hilarious because there I am level 30-31 on my characters and I'm usually always the last left standing. It's frustrating as hell & getting on raid teams like those are ruining the entire experience for me. To the OP Yeah it's such a dissappointment that their are few authentic gamers that enjoy the struggle + hardships it takes to go through obstacles. No sense of accomplishment. No pride. I don't know any of you but in real life killing yourself in some societies is considered foolish and cowardly. So why do it in the game? I'm one of the few that likes to fight to the end, go down swingin type of mentality. But when you tell me to chuck my body down the cliff because you are trying to go on the side of the map to avoid engagement to the enemy than tell me who the real fackin pussy is. I hate to break to you my friend, but Real gamers are a dying breed.

7 RepliesI'm a legit raider. I push Crota off the cliff with an unpirated copy of Destiny. It's called being EFFICIENT. No one likes sitting around and taking hours to raid only to be given a paltry sum of shards and energies. If you want to metaphorically slit your wrists on CE, go for it. Just realize your idiotic, misplaced pride and ego will leave you very alone in the raid. Cheers!

With my team I'll do it legit but if I'm playing with randoms. I always cheese I don't want to deal with there bs lol

When running CE with my friends, we always run it legit, however. Any time a few of us have to use LFG, if we even mention we're running it legitimately, two of the three randoms leave and we're stuck waiting to find more people. It's disappointing.

I never met a single raider who wanted too, suggest too, or even mentioning doing it legit. I think a lot of you I do it legit kids are complete liars.

My friend and I were in a pickup group the other day that desperately wanted to cheese the bridge, I had no idea how to cheese it, and the guy got pretty pissy with me. "Haven't you done the bridge before?" "Well yeah, all the time, just legitimately."
