Legit Raiders. A dying breed??
Are there any destiny players left who play to have fun and actually shoot stuff as a team? When I look to raid I want to have fun, make alien heads explode and kill some time. Not just sit there and stare at my ghost for 10 minutes because a hunter is soloing the abyss or warlocks are going to self rez after everything despawns. No one I meet is even willing to try the bridge on crota anymore and it's driving me nuts. Not even on Normal!! People have this game all twisted, getting to 32 is fine, having all the raid guns... Great. But is there anyone left who plays for fun... Or is the end goal all that matters?

1 ReplyI love you...will you be my virtual spouse?? I LOVE raiding! I'm not the best at Crota's End, but I have a blast doing it legit! Not to mention I still do VoG when I get a good raid team. I don't mind cheering if that's what the rest of the group wants to do, but that takes the fun out of it! I actually had a group get a little aggravated with me once for soloing to the door after the bridge IMMEDIATELY after the ogres were killed...I even made it in they were mad because they wanted to wipe.

But when I was struggling with the grind to get there it was another story. So many people take it too seriously it can be tough to have fun for the less experienced folks still stuck in the grind.

You should join YRA7. Legit and friendly crew that always take care of each other. We don't play games the lazy way. We have been around since Max Payne 3. We play to have fun. On a notice though, there are no room for cry babies and elitists.

2 RepliesAm I a legit player? Yes and no. If I am carrying people I do the most efficient method to get the job done. When I have people that are capable to do the content then every and any fun possibilities get decided on and implemented. Have you ever had a full team fly across the ravine with the sword without constructing the bridge? Funny to watch and more time consuming than actually forming the bridge. Have you taken a full raid team of 6, just killed things and fooled around on Venus or the Moon? We normally make our own objectives and just have fun. Sparrow racing with 6 people on Venus has to be one of the funnest things we ever did. Also demolition derbies are fun as well with sparrows. When you play the game long enough you run out of things to do, so you have to be creative.

2 RepliesCan't remember the last time I did the bridge legit, I'm good either way but it would be cool to play it properly once in a while. Also I hate the people in strikes who just jump on there sparrow and boost straight to the boss, it's boring as -blam!-!

4 RepliesI make my team run the abbyss. I make then do the bridge legit. I make them pull there weight on deathsingers. I taught them all how to run sword so we switch it up and have fun.

3 RepliesMany people only care about rewards. That's the same reason you see everyone boost straight to the bosses as quick as possible in roc strikes. I play for the fun, not as fast as I can to get the most rewards in the quickest time. That just makes It feel like a job.

2 RepliesIf I want to raid, I play VOG and I love to raid, Crota is a joke in a few ways, its possible to solo all of it, so this makes it a hard level at best, I kid you not doing the raid without cheese can be quicker than some nightfalls. It does not live up to the expectation that VOG gives you, On reset day, I do three nightfalls then jump onto kill crota on hard first and foremost, with the bugs and lack of teams later in the week, weekends I do VOG as I have time and ita just fun, gladly the crux dropped for me so I no longer have to do hard crota and to be honest I am looking for another game to have a break from destiny as I have run out of reasons to play

2 RepliesPersonally they should cut the exploits on Hard mode. Both on Crota and VoG. I was in a fire team on normal VoG once and some guy got massively butt hurt because we jumped down to do the conflux stage. On [b][i]normal[/i][/b]!

2 RepliesI'd enjoy them a lot more if they fixed the problems. Telling me they know the problems exist isn't good enough. Far too late to just acknowledge it. Bungie ruined their own content for me. The raids are quite enjoyable when they work right.

2 RepliesUnless you count staying up top for the Templar a cheese. Vog is done legit by me. I cheese the bridge on crota just because it's easier and faster. The legit way is too annoying.

It honestly doesn't matter to me whether we do it legit or just cheese it. My first time through CE was done completely legit and I liked it. Every time after that has been cheese. I hate the Deathsinger fight though. CE isn't a great raid anyway. I'll probably stop playing until HoW when I get my Titan to 32.
