Invisible walls prevent players from going out of the playable space... Is this really feedback? -smh-

  • Bungie was quoted as saying "This is all playable space. Anywhere you can see, you can go."

  • I have never seen them say such a thing. And if they did then it was probably when Destiny had massive worlds in its concept stage.

  • Obviously massive never happened this game went through so many changes I lost count. I mean compare the alpha gameplay to the game now there's a huge difference.

  • I guess designing maps that don't require the walls to be invisible. . Is beyond your logic

  • So you want them to make a map where players can just jump out of the map? Wow...

Sigh- If there is a gap your unable to jump between - put a rock there If you aren't supposed to jump on top of that building.. make the building too tall to jump on.. If you don't want a player going down that way- put a real wall there.. Don't make a platform knee high- then put an invisible wall on it.. In other words.. design the map- so you don't need to use invisible walls EVERYWHERE. . A square room has 4 walls a roof and a floor... now you don't need invisible walls... Genius

  • If you're allowed to go there it's not out of the map.

It's called background scenery. It's an area outside of the playable space that prevents players from exploring because it's just scenery. Besides there would probably be nothing to walk around on you'll most likely fall under the map and have to return to orbit fun right?

Although I've already found in area to fall out of the map. Last time I went though I found some new invisible walls. They work quick sometimes. It's on Mars by the way.

  • Nope. Plenty of area to walk and plenty of area that isn't just a background.

There might be some spots where you can walk for a minute but they sure as hell wont allow you to walk forever. Like do you think the outside of the map on the moon can be walked on forever? What about the ocean on earth? It's all scenery nothing more. Also this game uses chunk loading which means it'll load an area and when you go to the next one it'll load that one. So climbing onto high roofs or hills is redundant because you'll be able to see unloaded areas and it'll just look awkward. This shit is here for a reason.

  • I'm talking about the lesser barriers. Need main barriers to keep people like on the island.. But don't need a barrier to stop you from walking over the hills.. Most of the walls are there to stop you from cheap shot ting or getting through an area faster.. But..when your a noob you wouldn't try the alternate path- you would still run the main line. ..exploring is the only thing left to do- other then pvp and raids-

On an entire planet I'm sure i can find plenty of places to walk. Plus i never said bungie shouldn't add to the expanded world if they did so, but I mainly dislike the invisible obstacles within the already playable areas such as inside buildings and labyrinths.
