This is how it should be:
Vendor: max level 28
Vog: Max level 30
Crota: Max level 32
How: Max level 34
No raids should be irrelevant. Each raid should be a step towards the next level. Vendor gear should only give you the ability to begin your raiding experience. Raiding is truly the best part of the game and Bungie should realize this.
And to the people saying they don't want to look like everyone else, iron banner gear, raid gear, exotics, and shaders allow you to be an individual. Your hard earned gear shouldn't be surpassed by armor you can get from an Engram that you can get from patrol.
-
No factions should be irrevelant either
-
with CE only being available for TDB DLC owners, it would force new users (after HoW is released) to purchase past DLC just to advance. -- IMO VoG is just as relevant as Nightfall. besides the fun factor, there's 2 chances at Exotics & buckets of ascendant mats.
-
Everyone's Guardian looks the same, but this would change that! Destiny: Armor Skins! Check it out! http://youtu.be/podg2aX--wI
-
Iron Banner gear? Overall i dislike your order cause first you force people doing stuff they may not want to and second everbody looks 100% the same ...
-
I agree in principle, but I feel vendor gear should get you to lv30 so you can do nightfalls. Not everyone wants to raid. Then you bump everything up by 2 (you can patch raid armour appropriately)

Edited by Wolfisaurus: 3/30/2015 2:48:50 AMLuke Smith from Bungie posted this on NeoGaf back in January. I'm curious to see what changes are coming, to how exotics are upgraded, the new Raid, upgrade materials and how vendor gear factors in. The rumor is that we may not even need shards for the new Raid gear.
-
Same gear for all....except for the different exotic....you really want everyone to look the same?
-
If they just gave a discount or a way to upgrade old raid gear to be as good as the new vendor gear without me having to grind to much I'll be happy.
-
Yes iron banner and raid gear, two sets of armour. Such variety.
-
Vendor is predetirmed to be 33 Raid gear 34 Vog is getting buff
-
This is how it should be: Vendor: max level 28 Vog: Max level 30 Crota: Max level 32 How: Max level 34
If that's how it was, I would probably still be stuck at level 29 because of RNG.
-
If they made it so you're guaranteed to get a full set of raid gear in just a couple runs, then yes, you should have to complete each raid to get to the next. If it's pure RNG like it is now, then no, because it would be stupid to be stuck on the same raid for weeks or months waiting for gear to drop.
-
Vendor gear should be 33 Raid gear should be 34 A forge of all 3 similar pieces from each of the 3 raids should give a 35 armor piece Then they old raids will still be relevant If what i said doesn't make sense then: VoG helm + CE helm + TA helm = 35 helm And so on
-
No vendor gear should be 32, you shouldn't have to go back to old raids and do them over again to the the next old raid.

This this this this This

This.
-
They won't ever really be irrelevant, there is always an incentive. Who knows? A level 32 VOG may become a reality. (Gear with a higher stat level?)
-
By doing this you make a pitfall for new players once majority of players Get 34 no one gonna want to do old raids and new players can't level cause they can't Get a group. And raids are still relevant because of the chance to drop exotics.

agreed

This is actually perfect. Sad I didn't think of this.
