Is Halo screwed??!!
I have been playing Bungie/Halo games for a long time now, and Halo 5 does feel good, however, it feels bizarre and kind of clunky...
I'm worried about Halo 5...
What do you guys think?

No, but it will most likely have a population decrease. The more 343 focus on Story, the more they alienate members of the community. In no way are they bad at story telling, but Halo has become just too big, and not everyone is going to get the story they want to be told. This was seen in H4 with the disappointment of the Elite fans, and the lack of focus on post war human/covie/storm relationship.

1 ReplyHalo will be fine. Unfortunately, way too many people will sit here trying to predict and scrutinize it. 343 didn't tank the story in Halo 4 or Reach, and I'm sure they'll do fine with 5. Let's just wait and see and give those guys a break.

Well if people played and liked Reach and Halo 4 then they will like anything so Halo 5 will be fine.

Predictions:- it's gonna have some rando story (probably with the Vex in it or someshit) NOTHING to do with Halo except the main protagonist being Master Chief. The multiplayers gonna scrap everything that made the first 3 Halos awsome and replace it all with a generic TDM :)

12 RepliesAs long as it's 343i writing and running the series, yes, absolutely. I couldn't care less about the gameplay or multiplayer (and they'll probably do more or less fine with that just like they did with Halo 4), the story is what I really care about and where 343i is consistently screwing up and driving the series into the dirt. The vast majority of what they've been writing doesn't fit or make sense with the series and just isn't Halo, it honestly feels like they're trying to write their own, new, original series and then desperately trying to dress it up as Halo...and failing dramatically at it.

1 ReplyOf course it is. It died after Halo Reach, 343 is making it just like advanced warfare and their not going to fix their massive failure that is the halo master chief collection because their trying to ignore it so they can hype halo 5 so a lot of people will buy it.

6 RepliesThe story of Halo was screwed pretty much after Halo 3 was done (including ODST). Now with Cortana being on Windows phones and Project Spartan being released soon it just seems like they took something amazing and turned it into primarily a way to make money. As for the gameplay you're safe. It's always a sturdy gameplay with minimal lag and the multiplayer experience should stay about the same with Halo 4 perhaps better!

10 Replies-blam!- it sucks seeing 99% of the population so hyped that they are going to completely forget about the MCC disaster. 343 is going to steadily release hype trailers for months until Halo 5 is released and MCC is a distant memory. For crying out loud, 343 is releasing multiple trailers HALF A YEAR before the release of Halo 5 and MCC is getting a shotty update once a month, if that. I see why game companies just don't care anymore. Why waste money making a game a 100% when people don't hold them accountable. Why waste money making sure a game launches complete when you have a million preorders months before release. The few of us that believe MCC should be 100% fixed before 343 moves onto the next money grab are in the small minority now. I don't want to be like this but WTF guys. I wish I could flip a switch and MCC be 100% fixed as advertised and be on this hype train. I wish I never had to speak bad about 343 again. But I just can't do it. Jesus Christ guys, this is the company that told us they didn't see a single problem with MCC until it was released to the masses. This is the same company that tells us they don't have separate teams for MCC and Halo 5 when we didn't get a single update for the month Halo 5 beta ran. This is the same company that told us we were going to get Halo 1-4 exactly as we remembered. I used to hate 343, but they are -blam!-ing geniuses. I just hate people now.

3 RepliesI feel like halo 4 ruined the franchise. Halo 5 I feel like will be the same I played the beta and hated it but maybe there is a small glimmer of hope if 343 can actually do something. I just miss the good old actual halo days not this "got to appeal to the cod/new generation" and yes I get that halo is getting older and the younger generation is paying but halo was one of the best franchises for a reason. Don't fix what isn't broke. -Sh3

8 RepliesSo will Destiny's plot eventually collide with the Halo series games? I noticed on the trailer that they are calling the Halo characters guardians now. Did I miss something? Have they they always been guardians? I know in one of the halo games "Destiny Awaits" was written on a wall... foreshadowing the release of Destiny. Could this be the same thing going on?
