Female Gamers.
So why is it that in every community I'm in there are people are abusing female gamers. Or they get all weird? We all want our own pleasure in playing the game(s) we play but it's hard if males just act as if females shouldn't play. Then they get mad when they see an all female group and they want it taken down because the weird and abusive males complain to the gms. My point in saying all of this is stop bring thirsty and enjoy your game with others male or female. I'll play with either male or female add me sly_crime148 and we'll have fun regardless lol.

Because unfortunately like real life these Females seek so much unnecessary attention that it becomes easy to just troll them. Only a female will make a thread saying "Post selfie and rate me" yet when people do it they complain about getting harrassed. Stop being captain Save-a-hoe and see the bigger picture.

That gotta suck i really never encounter that kind of discrimination before, i ve encounter class, race and socioeconomic discrimination in games tough ( pay to win kind, hem hem some CoD , WoW, and a lot of MMO, some Strategy Real Time Games, etc). Games should be place when you can play like you want to, is sad that some people dont seem to get it.

I found a group of friends on the ps3 and I've been gaming with them ever since, so I don't get hassled as much now when I turn on my mic. But when it does happen, I just mute and move on. They get more insulted, the longer you ignore them. It's quite funny.

You women want to be treated equally well us being agressive or saying shit like get back to the kitchen is more or less us "busting your balls" is how we treat each other. Now i personally don't care if you're a girl playing this game, however it aggrivates me that most women feel the need to announce they are female like we owe you some special favor for simply existing. Threads like this disgust me and all the white knights that will defend that you need to be treated nice. Kindly -blam!- off if you can't take some meaningless verbal banter online.

1 ReplyThe only issue I ever had was with a group of 12 year olds that couldn't beat Atheon on normal and before we started they asked me to add them on facebook lol that was fine, but then every time we failed, they blamed it on me even though I ALWAYS had the most kills, most revives (if possible) and the last to die. Other than that, I haven't had any issues. I even had a guy on Crota hard sat that I was gonna be the reason they were finally gonna beat it lol

14 RepliesI agree with your post. It's actually fairly uncommon to come across rude guys. I do remember that the very first day voice chat came to Destiny some guys (3 or 4) were talking to me in crucible. They were the biggest dicks ever. I never said anything rude to them. They kept calling me 'Miss dicks' and shit. Said my voice was too deep and I sounded like a guy. I didn't think too much of it though. Some of the other guys were unsure about it. I just muted them all. After the end of the match I unmuted them to see if they were still at it and they were. I was just a little disappointing. This is why a lot of girls (me included) don't talk on the mic unless we're comfortable.

4 RepliesHonestly, I've never encountered a male gamer who straight up says that I shouldn't play a game because I'm a female. A few have them have made comments that I felt were inappropriate. However, it hasn't happened on destiny and wasn't recent. Maybe it's because I usually game with older, laid back guys. We all are just here to play a game, we joke around and have fun.

People are people, gamers are gamers, if you play with a girl/woman you shouldn't treat her any differently than anyone else, that's the same as singling out a gay person or black person in the gaming community. I think a lot of girls who game make a bigger deal of it than it should be. Maybe going into it with a preconceived mindset that they're going to be "picked on ". I may just be lucky in that I haven't had that happen to me? At least not on that level. I'm in a clan where I'm the only female, and I've definitely earned respect with the clan. I'm a skilled player, and when I play with them we're just a bunch of mates. I don't buy into the whole "girl gamer" vs. "Gamer girl" or grrrl garbage. I just like video games. Have since I was a kid. Best advice? Join a clan....of grownups. And the less stigma you put on yourself, the less others will as well.
