I'm getting tired of playing as a warlock on all three of my characters and was wondering if it was worth it to delete two of them to make a titan and a hunter. I run three warlocks in order to maximize my chances of getting full raid gear, and I am trying to decide if adding some gameplay variety is more valuable. Any thoughts?
EDIT: So it looks like a resounding yes for killing off my warlock clones! I'm going to make a hunter and titan once I get the crux to drop for me, and because of all of you I'm pretty excited for the change in pace. Moving forward, what exotics and stat builds should I be looking for on my new hunter and titan?
EDIT 2: I'm level 30 now with my hunter and will start a titan once i hit 32. I'm loving the different supers and playstyle, no regrets about making the switch. Thanks again y'all!

Edited by scanbeeno: 3/24/2015 8:19:05 PMNo its not. But do make at least one other different character besides the warlock.
-
Having started with multiple warlocks and finally switching to one of each: Yes, it is definitely worth it and adds to the game experience.

In my opinion absolutely. I love having 3 different classes it keeps the game fresh. But inevitably it's your decision, do you. I would delete one of your Warlocks an make a gunslinger Hunter first since the jump is completely different. Play with him till at least lvl 20 then decide if you like him, than keep him. If not delete the Hunter and make a Titan. Titan and Warlock both a glide effect to their jump so they're more relatable. Just my 2 cents

The real question
is it worth having three of the same?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
no
Edited by JRM99: 3/24/2015 6:41:57 PMIMO u should max out atleast 1 subclass of each class. I started the game with a hunter and love it, wasn't going anywhere but my bro made a Titan so I tried it out and it was cool but still liked my hunter so I made a warlock to try it out and I love it. When I upgrade me console the first character I make will be a warlock (I'm going from 360 to ps4 so I can't transfer my characters)

If your warlock is 32, there is really no point in having 3. It would be a good idea to start saving armor for the other classes tho. If you could jump from 20 to 28 with your hunter or titan because you saved some armor for them that would make leveling that character up a lot faster. The downside is that you may miss out on most of your exotic chances for a week or 2 while you are leveling up the new character(s). The other downside is that the story mode is pretty lame and tedious once you are doing it more than 2 or 3 times. Just try to power through it as fast as possible. I had 2 warlocks for a long time and just made my first titan a couple of weeks ago and it was definitely worth it.

If you adapt well to any situation, then you should make all 3 classes. I have my warlock and titan up to 32 and need to level the gear for my hunter and he will be 32 as well. At the very least, it will give you a new, fresh outlook on how you can play the game.

I enjoy it, at least then when I decrypt something and it rolls into a diffrences class item I can just give it to that class. Helps break up the monotony sometimes.
-
i mean i have one of each and i only play my hunter and the rest i dont even level up past 28
-
Yes! It was the best choice I've made in this game.
-
Yesss. Playing one class is in a way limiting yourself to a third of the game
-
DO IT

-
Yes do it

I'm not so much a fan of Hunters, and warlock is my main too. Titans are Definately worth your time man, lots of fun especially in PvP.
-
Yup no question. Game is way more fun with all 3.
-
If you want you could keep 2 Warlocks and make 1 Titan or 1 Hunter
-
I have all 3 to 32 with all 4 pieces of max gear on each. It is worth it
-
Yes. If you don't you're definitely missing out.
-
Yes much more fun with three characters I have one of each makes it something to work towards between dlcs and you get the experience of all destiny has to offer
-
It's all a matter of opinion. I started with 3 hunters. Right before the dark below dropped I changed to 2 Hunters 1 warlock. About 3 weeks ago I changed to 1 of each. I feel that since I started my Titan, I only want to play the Titan!

F yes

Edited by sergantsnipes05: 3/24/2015 5:52:50 PMYes. I didn't think I would like hunters till I made them and they have quickly become my favorite class. I love the more traditional jump. I personally find it kind of cheating when people have 3 of the same characters and brag about how fast they got to 32.

NOW YOU LISTEN HERE, MOTHERBLAMMER. DID YOU KNOW THAT HUNTERS HAVE FOUR BALLS AND SEVEN DICKS? DID YOU KNOW THAT? WELL, YOU WILL...

I tried a warlock build. Got it up to level 25 but i just couldn't get into game play as a warlock. Deleted the character and made a second titan. Aside from being more comfortable with the game play, it allowed me to grind gear and such for one class under two different factions. (New Monarchy and Dead Orbit). Total i have two titans and one hunter. It's a little jarring to keep in mind various subclasses and how i need to play the character i've selected when i swap. Now when an engram gives me warlockk gear, i don't feel bad breaking it down for ascendant materials.
