Is it worth making one of each class?

I'm getting tired of playing as a warlock on all three of my characters and was wondering if it was worth it to delete two of them to make a titan and a hunter. I run three warlocks in order to maximize my chances of getting full raid gear, and I am trying to decide if adding some gameplay variety is more valuable. Any thoughts? EDIT: So it looks like a resounding yes for killing off my warlock clones! I'm going to make a hunter and titan once I get the crux to drop for me, and because of all of you I'm pretty excited for the change in pace. Moving forward, what exotics and stat builds should I be looking for on my new hunter and titan? EDIT 2: I'm level 30 now with my hunter and will start a titan once i hit 32. I'm loving the different supers and playstyle, no regrets about making the switch. Thanks again y'all!

  • Just saw your edit. The exotic armors that you should look out for are Titan: 1. Ruin wings 2. The Armamentarium 3. Helm of Saint-14 4. Helm of Inmost Light. Hunter: 1. Achlyophage Symbiote 2. Mask of the Third Man 3. Crest of Alpha Lupi (This is better than Light Beyond Nemesis or the titan version, because hunters seem to fit the role better.).

  • i had a warlock, deleted, made a second hunter. i dont feel it should be up to us to make things to do for ourselves. i like playing the hunter, so i'm doing it 2x. plus, its not like its really that different. its a different jump, super, nades. otherwise, same old content played the same old way for the same old roll of the dice.

  • All 3 is the way to go. Couldnt imagine how boring it would be to have 3 of the same class, ewwww. I got all 3 maxed out and getting a bit bored now. Maxing 3 of the same class would have taken no time im guessing.

  • I was having trouble getting some exotics a raid weapons, as soon as I decided to delete my second warlock create a Titan to have one of each class I started to get better rewards drops and now have duplicates of every exotic and every raid weapon.

  • I made another Warlock at Christmas time and a Titan and it was a long but ultimately rewarding experience. I neglected my titan for awhile until I got used to using him and now I love that character. Just last week I made the leap to delete my duplicate Warlock who was 32 with every single piece of raid gear and all the exotics. I created a hunter which only took me about a day to get to 20 and I had bought a helmet for him and lucked out with a boot drop on another character for him so I was 25 immediately. It has been so much fun getting all the blade dancer perks. I have so much fun with the invisibility that I often forget the hunter has a super. It's like having two supers. Anyway, I started him Friday with just the two items I said and as of yesterday I have all his raid gear except gauntlets (I did the abyss solo on Monday and a hard raid yesteday so just two raids so far). You should definitely do it. It's worth it.

  • It seems you made up your mind and youwill start one of each. Good luck and I hope you like it as much as I did. I have one of each and I´ve loved my runs with each character. Also, having one of each helps me understand the limitations and advantages of each class better in PVP.

  • You've already deleted them I suppose, but I'm still going to give my opinion. I made 1 of each so I could be a multi-role player. Need a Defender Titan? Lemme switch characters real quick. Think we're going to wipe constantly? I'll get my Warlock out. Need to sneak past some Shriekers? I'll be back with my Hunter. I originally made it for that purpose, but lately I've found playing as a Hunter is a lot of fun. It's more challenging than a Warlock but that makes it fun. And the Titan I made is my Crota character, so I'd say you'd help your raid group out a lot if you had each class at 32.

Yeah i like having all three because it mixes it up. But I would delete one character, lvl it, then do another that way you still have two characters to get better gear in raids and strikes. Unless you already have stuff you need them -blam!- it do them both

  • I started with one of each class but eventually rendered my titan I just couldn't get in the groove of titan game play

  • Yes it is better to have all three classes in the long run. I thought of doing the same classes during the leveling grind but decided to experience the other classes. I kept random armor drops I couldn't use in storage to use when a class reached level twenty. I don't have any regrets with the decision.

  • I tried all 3, erased them for more Warlocks and I never tire of nova bombs, fire born, long distant melees, 2 fusion grenades and making the VOG jump in one jump :)

  • I only had one titan to start for a while and then started a hunter because I had alot of gear for a hunter. Finally just started a warlock and I have to say I love have all three. First my titan was my first and will be my go to in most cases. But having all three I always have a new experience! It is nice to have a higher chance at more raid gear but with all three you have an incentive to keep playing

  • I originally created all three. I deleted my titan because I just didn't enjoy playing with it. Now have two warlocks and a hunter. Play however you want. There is no right or wrong way to do it.

  • A lot more fun, then when something drops for a titan or hunter, you won't have to say "shoot, I don't have a titan."

Hunter Exotics: Knucklehead Radar (PvP) Lucky Raspberry (PvP) Young Ahamkara's Spine (PvP) Achlyophage Symbiote (PvE/P) Mask of the Third Man (PvE) Don't Touch Me (PvE) GunSlinger stats: Intellect>Discipline>Strength BladeDancer stats: Very dependent on playstyle and perks, but I'd usually say Intellect>Discipline>Strength Titan Exotics: Helm of Inmost Light (PvP) The Armamentarium (PvP/E) Helm of Saint-14 (PvE/P) The Glasshouse (PvE) Ruin Wings (PvE) Striker stats: Discipline, Intellect, Strength (Worst Melee in the game) Defender stats: Again, very dependent on playstyle and perks. There is really no 'best' stat spread on Defenders IMO, but I think Intellect>Discipline>strength is probably the most common.

            • I had 3 warlocks for a couple months and It wasn't too bad. I ended up getting 4 Titan exotics from xur engrams and 4 legendary titan gear drops--- still had 3 warlocks. I decided to give it a whirl and I rarely play my warlocks anymore.
