Stop AFK in Strikes
Every time i need to do the weekly heroic i seem to always have at least one person that is not playing or else they are moving there controller just enough so that they do not get kicked. I would like a better way for the game to kick AFK players or at least a vote to kick system. I dont really like a VTK system though because it can be abused very easily. I think that you should make it so that in order for someone to get their rewards they should have to be in the final boss area. Which means that if the person is still at the spawn of the strike when the final boss is killed then they will get no loot from the strike. This is one way that would be effective. Thank you for listening bungie and i hope this gets some attention because it really takes away from the game if someone is not playing.

Can we please keep this post on top!?!?!? Literally just played 3 strikes in a row with bitches not playing! Can't stand it they need to be banned not kicked from game,keep their asses from playing for a hour or something!

7 RepliesI had this happen on Saturday. Archon priest. I took off like usual, killing everything in my path. One guy left the game right away so I took my time fighting and waiting for the other guy to catch up. I got up to the point where dinklebot has to unlock the big door. I look for the guy I was waiting for and notice that his gt is staying in the same spot but twitching a little bit. He's afk'ing with the rubber band trick. Not in my game sir. I ran all the way back to the beginning and there he was, a hunter having what looked like a seizure. I usually run them off the cliff with my sparrow, sit down next to their ghost, and they leave. I decided to try something different. Solar wind is a beautiful perk, and apparently an effective anti-afk tool. Launch, revive, launch, revive, launch..etc. I must've thrown this guy off the cliff at least 30-40 times. He came back expecting a rewards screen, instead found his guardian getting murdered over and over again. He actually had the nerve to teabag before he left.

6 RepliesNone of the above. VTK can be abused, end boss area requirement will force everyone to move through the strike at the same speed so if one guy rushes you have to as well. I think the best option would be if players are in different areas for more than 1 minute entire team is kicked to orbit. This way afkers will be completely eliminated.

I played a lot of strikes on PS4 this weekend. After one finished, I took a quick pee, got a soda and was back in the game in less than 60s. I saw that I had just spawned into Summoning Pits strike as I sat back down, the other two people were already punching me and then quit because they thought I was AFK. Seriously guys, give a a few minutes. As long as everyone makes it to the first dinklebot door together don't get aggressive and quit so early. Sometimes your destiny bros need a snack or a quick piss mid strike.

RNG rewards is the problem that needs to be addressed. Players AFK because they know that you are rewarded the same if you work, or do nothing. Many times doing nothing, or playing like crap, rewards you the best.

I hate this too and it angers me but if bungie implements a vote to kicks system people will be unfairly voted out all the time. Oh look, our buddy is online. Let's kick this other guy out before we end the boss fight so our buddy can join and get some loot. Now what if you are that guy that just got kicked?? How pissed would you be then? No vote to kick guys. Something yes, but not this.

If they are afk in a game they should get banned for 5 minutes until they can play again. If they do it again it will add 10 minutes and so on.

Make it so if a player doesn't advance to a new checkpoint in a timely manner they get kicked. Stay with the team and you'll be fine. Just sit there, and you're out.

Not just advance, but shoot and hit targets. If you're not shooting and hitting targets for 3 minutes or so you get the boot. If you can't hit a target within the set time span and get booted please get better before entering another cooperative mission.

It's like a kid asking for his allowance money after he had done absolutely nothing all week long. Vote to kick all the way.
