I hope it's not like the Souls games. I thought the Souls games were grossly overrated. They're ok just not worth all the praise. I think I'll get Bloodbourne though. It reminds me of Vampire Hunter D. It'll be cool to play in that type of universe.

  • I don't suggest you purchase the game, if you are going to feel that way. Dark Souls is actually voted one of the most underrated series, because people have a tendency of hating the difficulty. You probably won't enjoy Blood, however.

Underrated? Source please sir... Actually scratch that. Don't care. Want to know an incredible game that was underrated. Dragons Dogma. That game is the definition of an underrated game. Difficulty has nothing to do with it for me. I was gaming in the 80s. Play Ninja Gaiden 2. That was difficult. Nothing today compares to it. The underwater level of Ninja Turtles.. that was difficult. Souls games hand hold compared those ancient 80s 8bits. Here is a new source. I herby award Dark Souls 1 & 2 the Most Decent but Over Praised Games of the Decade. Tada! I love From Software. They do good work (Armored Core and Tenchu). I've been following Bloodbourne. The controls scheme seems smooth and intuitive. I'm digging the art style, co-op feature and I'm curious about the story. But more Dark Souls in a new IP is not what I'm looking for. From Software's products stand out from each other and I think if you're looking for a Dark Souls game in this you'll be the disappointed one. Not I.

I played Bloodborne at PSX. It's not exactly a crazy departure from the Souls experience. Controls are slightly altered(don't remember exactly how off the top of my head), but it plays largely the same. Close enough for me to pick up and play without running into any road blocks. I had to let myself die because it was a timed demo, but that was it. That being said, a show floor demo is hardly the entire game, but the gameplay really didn't feel different from aggressive DS1 gameplay. Imagine having short range Pyromancies equipped in your off hand, and a sword in your main hand. That was basically how it felt.
