I'm hoping that the gauntlets do as much damage as a melee in PvP (close to storm fist). If so, it would actually be worth an exotic slot. This would mitigate the Warlock shield upon a single melee.

Damn I didn't even think about that. They could definitely be good, but Idk if they'll give a lot of damage.

Exactly. I'm hopeful though. Since players typically have a health value of 200 and Storm Fist delivers 110 damage. As long as the gauntlet damage is 90+ this combo of getting hit and using one melee would work.
