Attention Bungie Staff: Please Read

The Iron Banner event next week marks the 6th such event since Destiny's release. In that time, we have had access to all of the Iron Banner armor pieces, at various Light levels, save one glaring exception; the helmet. If the information obtained and provided by megamanexe4 is correct, (which I dearly hope, is not) then we will again be denied the opportunity to obtain said helmet. This begs the question. Why? I fully understand only offering two pieces of gear each month, it gives us die-hard fans that have put many hundreds of hours into the game something to look forward to each month. However, I see no purpose or possible gain in repeatedly denying us the minor victory of completing a set of gear. Haven't we waited long enough? Even the most patient person would consider half of a year a bit too much time to wait for something so small, not to even consider waiting further time. What's the point in refusing us the simple pleasure of finishing off a full set of matching *edited to remove imprecise language Note: I have no doubt that this message will go completely unread by anyone that could do anything to impact the situation. Heaven knows that even cogent arguments are ignored en masse.

  • Bungie has not major internal control over xur, it is an automated process. Bungie can influence the math on the rngs or in lay terms make the chance that it will drop higher or affect the code to make him stay longer but not directly, not without doing an update. You say this guy "megaman4exe" predicts, how, how would they predict if Bungie controlled it. Secondly, and I will cop a hell of a lot of lak for this but this aggravates me everytinebI ever see it. Do not use shit about you being a serviceman/woman to influence an arguement. Regardless of it's truth. It really pisses me off, who cares that you are an injured service person, why do you think that matters at all. You aren't saving our lives at the moment, we didn't ask you to join the army. You chose, you deal with the consequences.
One piece of advice from someone in the trenches with over 900 hours in game and no more friends left playing Destiny anymore. Your continued assertions that Xûr is random and that you lack any control of his inventory is broadly seen as a bold-faced lie. Considering that it was possible for you to ensure he would carry Heavy Ammo Synths each week, it seems rather absurd that you claim to be unable to manipulate him at will.
Firstly OP. Saying things like you have 900 hours in the game when the total amount of time gear has been available is 1/8 of that time (I did the math) indicates something which only shows personal choice. Not entitlement like you are asking for. Secondly, the idea behind friends moving on is fine. We have tower upon tower upon tower of people still playing Iron Banner, raiding, and helping each other. You should ideally look for those outlets to help meet the requirements to complete your activities. Thirdly, I've withheld my information about Xur being random because as someone who looks for the explanations rather then post about them, the answer is obvious. Every week, Xur comes around according to a localized timer release function maintained by established computer programming in knowing localized computer times (ever notice when you leave one time zone and your phone automatically updates itself? Yeah. Same function. And no. That doesn't mean all phones do that either.) About his inventory? Random number generator. I want you to imagine... A list of all possible items in all of the possible slots. Now... Assign any number you can think of to each item different from all the others. Now... You write a simple enough program to pull a selectable number from within those ranges. Welcome to one of the many concepts found in OOP or object oriented programming. Xur is RNG. Whether you accept that or not. I don't care that you sound young... Or that you didn't know that... Or even the possibility you sound like a bandwagon rider with little to no actual experience... What I do care about? Is this quote that I do see a lot of times from people who haven't paid their first mortgage:
Xûr is random and that you lack any control of his inventory is broadly seen as a bold-faced lie.
Outside of everything destiny related? You are only convincing others of immaturity when you bother to jump and attack people like that... Just some food for thought...

    • Well I can't really do the event this time anyways. Not unless I start breaking down primary raid weapons, raid armor, exotics... Nothing I can do about it... I doubt I'll see more vault b4 event /sad
