Why are all of you so mad?
First people complain about xur never selling the good stuff but as soon as he does, you get even worse. People claiming they "earned" theirs, people thinking they're entitled to it. Xur is more earning than your rng drops. So why are you so mad? Personally, I'm glad he's selling something different. It's a nice break from the icebreaker and no land beyond

Some are mad, some think they are comedians if they say its satire poking fun at those that are mad - and the rest are just glad Xur is there to make up for an rng based 'reward' system.

Its too easy for some people to buy the best items in the game. If it were me I would make it so you'd basically have to do randomized (yes i said random), LORE related, treasure hunts where some are extremely difficult and some are not so much. That way you can;t just look up a guide on where to go to get gjallahorn. That way its at least an adventure to seek out what you want. I don;t know anything about game design though so don;t mind me.

Absolutely agree with you man. I've put the hours and did my grind. Most of my exotics have been found in nightfalls and raids but so what? That doesn't make me better or part of an elite club. It only means I've been lucky, and for what I didn't have (gally) I kept on going and eventually got it. I wanted red death and now I have a chance to buy it. I'm happy with the video game I paid for and that I like to keep playing. No need to be mad people. It's just a game!!!!

Mate, I farmed for one harder than FARMVILLE, and I had to buy it from Xur. So shut your mouth because RNG actually loves you, and let the farmer browns of Destiny farm for their loot. Don't boast about how you got your 145,327,982,143rd [Insert Exotic here] on a gold platter with a side of Revenant and Glowhoo.

Why don't the "earners" get mad about people buying weapons from the quartermasters? Because they're not an exotic? So how do people "Xurning" their exotics effect you? Because you can't have that bragging rights huh?

At the end of the day there are no legends in this game, millions play it. The raid gear we all have proves the point. People need to chill, they're just pixels.

1 ReplyIt's a total joke. I skip past the tear collecting posts. I have a red death and I cared 0 about him selling it. I'm not special, I don't deserve any gun to myself. If there was a really hard set of events you could complete to get a specific weapon and then Xur sold it the next week, yeah id be annoyed as I actually would have earned it. People claiming that because they got lucky on RNG is ludicrous. I bought my first Suros from Xur. First exotic I owned. I have since gotten multiple suros' from random drops. Back then, assembling strange coins for a low level was tough. I feel like a "earned" it more than the ones I have since had drop. I can't wait for Xur to sell G-horn (another weapon I have multiple of) just to watch these forums go into meltdown. I didn't buy anything from Xur this week. I still have 300 rocket packs sitting and have all the armour he had to sell bar the warlock gauntlets, but I didn't bother with them.
