Hey, I'm just throwing in my 2 cents, but why not ask the guys that helped you to do nightfall if they're planning on running a raid this week? I feel like most groups that play together consistently are smaller than 6 people the majority of the time, so said groups don't tend to have a problem with you asking if you can come along, as long as you explain that you're new to raiding and you make it clear that you're willing to listen and follow directions. Honestly, most high level players run raids regularly, which is why they all seem to have buddies to do it with. You just, sorta... pick up new people along the way (like 'randoms' who want to tag along, for example :3), and as old players move on to other games, those that stay behind are usually looking for new blood to add to their groups. Either way, if you have a positive experience like this one, don't be afraid to reach out! A lot of the vets seem to look at it as, 'I'm running the damned raids for the hundredth time already, might as well bring in an inexperienced player to add some spice".
