I'm a level 29 warlock. I'm familiar with raiding systems due to other mmorpgs. I have completed 20+ man raids and know the importance of the placement of people, downing certain npc's befoe bosses and essentials different classes bring to a fight. The only flaw I have is that I do not know the fights for the raids in destiny. I'm familiar with people not letting new comers in and it's understandable but frustrating at the same time. I need someone with experience to show me the fights. I learn quick, have good teamwork and communication skills. I never give up until a raid or objective is complete. So the worry of a missing man does not pertain to me. If someone could message me (on Xbox one) I'll be more than happy to learn the raids. I thank you for your time if you read this.

Wow, somebody get this man a seasoned raiding team, stat (dead serious). You're exactly the kind of person vets want to teach. Trust me, the only thing standing in your way, literally, is the fact that you haven't found a team yet. Because to be perfectly honest, most seasoned raiding groups are always looking for a less-experienced member they can usher in, ESPECIALLY people like you, with the raid and coop experience. Because it's either you or the squeakers, and let me tell you they're not looking for that. Just keep an eye on the forums (if somebody doesn't find you first, from this thread), and see if you can find threads with posts from vets looking for newcomers interested in learning the raids. You'll find what you're looking for before you know it.

No worries! I honestly made this thread as a kind of test to see whether there was any need for a sort of 'guide' to getting into raiding for newcomers... and I was pretty surprised to see just how many people there are who haven't gotten to truly experience what the raids are all about. Glad I'm able to help people make some connections and experience this part of Destiny for themselves! :D
