I'm not the greatest at this game, I'm not the worst at this game. I play with friends after work and later at night to shoot the sh1t and knock back some beers before bed. I've done the whole iron banner thing, (twice to level 5), I've done VOG normal & hard, I've done Crota normal/hard, I've even got necrochasm. Even after all that I can still honestly say... I'm not the best at this game but I'm not the worst. I know I'll be getting all sorts of hate thrown my way because of my stats, which leads me to my question:
Why is everyone so mad?
"You're trash" "youz a scrub" "get guud". Every time I check a forum topic I see these responses. I see guys with 32s across the board and they still get salted. I see people with 3.0 k/d+ and they're called lagger noobzzz.
Are these incendiary statements just indulgences of a generation hiding behind a thin veil of anonymity? or is it that these individuals need constant reaffirmation that they have accomplished something of value after investing so many hours?
sorry, but I don't think Malcolm Gladwell's "10,000-hour rule" applies here...
Maybe some think themselves genuinely special because of their achievements.
So, why are you so mad?
