Honestly, never even seen them in game play. Didn't know they existed. But as with anything im sure its RNG based.

I haven't seen them either but they are supposedly in the game, can't find anyone who knows how to get them though

I have about 10-12 of the dark below ships. Some of every color accept those black ones. Now I want one. I'm gonna take a wild guess and sayaybe they are dead orbit faction ships but I don't know. I got most of my ships from roc strikes and ofcorse the raid ships

I know the orange and green ships are ROC strikes, the blue and red ships are Crucible rewards, the green and black ships are also ROC I hear and the ships at the bottom of the page are the faction ships

They aren't, dead orbit only has one ship and its mostly white, it's equipped on my titan
