Should raid bounties be a thing?

I think there should be raid bounties. For VoG you'd pick 'em up from the vanguard mentors, and for CE, you'd pick 'em up from eris. Some ideas are: -as a fireteam, create 100 orbs of light in a single raid. -kill atheon/crota in normal/hard mode -complete a raid checkpoint without dying -as a fireteam, have all guardians complete checkpoint X without dying. -complete checkpoint X in under X amount of time. -kill the templar without him teleporting/kill the deathsinger before she begins her liturgy -kill atheon/crota in less than X sword/teleport cycles Feel free to leave ideas in the comments! Edit: since these bounties would be for raids, they'd be worth more more XP and rep than the other bounties Edit 2: some people have brought up good points about players going out of their way to complete bounties therefore possibly hurting the team. I can see how that would be a problem so perhaps the bounties could be things that wouldnt require you to 'go out of your way' to get or grind for... Edit 3: People are putting out some really good ideas! Keep it up. Shoutout to lickwid elite for his/her awesome contribution to the thread. Keep it trending guardians! Edit 4: i changed some of the ideas above to fit what a lot you guardians have been suggesting. Edit 5: i'm impressed, guardians. This thread has been resurrected once more.     • crota's end activate all the lamps in the abyss before the bridge has formed (stops titan's from cheesing) collect the 2nd chest without dying during the thrall way kill both shriekers within 20 seconds of each other during deathsinger have a different member of your fire team pick up the sword each time it is dropped during crota encounter vault of glass don't let the platforms be taken by the vex during the first part of the raid get a crit on fanatics kill hobgoblins during oracle encounter (rumor has it they spawn faster the more you kill) DO NOT pick up the spirit bloom chest (just for the lolz) kill a gorgon don't die on the jumping part lock someone in a teleporter on each side (gatekeepers checkpoint, fireteam gets the bounty if the 2 people are in the teleporters on either side) hit atheon with a grenade (for old times sake)

    • Raid quests that give straight story to the lore and the reason as to why we're fighting these enemies. Bounties would be kind of cool, I'd rather have them after finishing quest lines. Hell, it'd have been awesome if the eris quests had eventually led us to the crota raid itself. Little things that probably wouldn't have been that hard to implement would have gone a long way.

        This sounds like a fun honey trap to make player get better at the game i like it lol Would have to be limited by needing raid completion to ensure people dont just check point surf on lfgs more than they already do lol

        I can feel your point but what do we expect to see for rewards? bounties already offer 5000 exp so raids would offer 10,000? it would make sense seeing raid is harder. Also what reputation would they offer? Vanguard would be wise choice or it could be some other faction? like House of wolves raid if bounty offered could increase rep with the Queen(and her beautiful.....back to the topic >:3) there are a lot of unanswered problems but I agree raid bounties would be great if they do not hinder the fire teams. You have my vote mate lets have raid bounties. In fact why don't you make a petition of some sort? just a suggestion.

      • I'd love to see them. It'd be a great way to encourage people to play legit. For example, a bounty that requires you to activate X number of lamps in the Abyss would cut down on the number of people who just send one person in to build the bridge while everyone else hangs back and wipes once it's over.

          Raid bounties should certainly be a thing. It would be great if they rewarded you heavy synths as well - Xur would be less of an issue if he didn't bring them. The more synths in circulation, the better for the community really. Could also be a way to almost "encourage" people to play content correctly - have the Major kill bounty feature the exact (or close) number of Majors in the Raid, and have it pop with proximity not just damage - so that if a person cheeses say The Bridge in Crota's End - by the end of the fight, they wont have enough Majors to complete the bounty. Guardian of the Light - Complete a Raid: 5000 XP - Glimmer, and perhaps a Heavy Ammo Synth. Champion of the Light - Complete a Hard-Mode Raid: 10,000 XP - Glimmer and three Heavy Ammo Synths. Minion Hunter - Kill 25 Majors in any Raid - 5000 XP, Glimmer. Enemy of the Light - Defeat a Raid Boss - 5000 XP, Glimmer, one Heavy Ammo Synth. Here's my Backup - Kill 10 Enemies with a special weapon without dying in a Raid - 2500XP, Glimmer. Flawless - Complete a raid without dying - 7500 XP, Glimmer. Team Player - Generate 25 Orbs in a single Raid: 5000 XP, Glimmer. They could get really creative with them too: - Complete a raid without using Heavy Weapons. - Complete a raid without throwing Grenades. - Complete a raid using only Primary Weapons.

          • I reckon it would be a great idea I think they should make 2 more reputations for the vaults and you could maybe by weird it's that could be useful like new legendary weapons
