Sorry but Bungie does not restore lost items. Were you share-playing with this other person?

 • When you say "can do" ... do you mean they cannot edit a profile ?!? Didn't they write the code/game - or did they use someone else engine? Or is it that they just refuse to for some reason - like they may get more requests? Other games like this offer this option ... plus given it has been made "online only" and does not let you backup your profile ... seems like a reasonable request. Just asking in case it happens to me :(

 • I'm sure they can do it but they won't. Most games like this have similar policy to prevent people from exploiting the system to get free loot.

 •
Most games like this have similar policy
Which games ? Not sure if we are talking about the same thing here, and most MMO (yeah, its not, but bungie like to call it that) have this available ... for example here is how WOW deal with it. Free loot >> not a problem. You can only recover something you have a history of owning, how could you claim any extra free loot ?!? Sure some games have a limited duration for recovery ... for example if you delete it (accident or otherwise) you may get restricted to 14 days ... but this is more about the provider only having to store the item history for that long. Just seems odd that they do not allow you to take game backups (no local savedata image etc - all on their server) and yet offer nothing to safeguard mistakes (on either side).
