Auto aim bot option

I'd like to see this option added to my options to turn off. Gets really old in PvE when in trying to snipe a wizard and a damn acolyte runs in front and the stupid aim bot jerks my cursor off the wizard just because the acolyte is closer. Or when the wizard moves and I'm about to shoot and it drags it to the "recommended aiming zone". Bull@#$! I don't want aim assist on. Not now, not ever. I always have turned it off whenever I could. Even in COD. It was a nuisance and I don't need it. Keep bumping this thread if you want the option to disable aim assist too.

  • I hate it when in any sort of crucible match I am aiming at an opponent and the aim automatically draws off even as I'm already shooting because another opponent crossed my line of fire. Then I end up dying because my aim on the original opponent I was aiming at was automatically drawn off at a critical moment. So instead of me killing them, they kill me because my aim was drawn off. Massive developer fail on Bung(lies) part. Is Bung(lie) trying to say that our weapons think for themselves and can auto aim at whatever they feel they want to at the most inopportune moment? AUTO AIM HAS TO GO!!! This used to be an option we could disable, then Bung(lie) removed the option so now our hands are tied. WTF Bung(lie)?!? So many things wrong with this game. Does this auto aim have to really be one of them? Come on.

  • That shit makes you worse at shooters, while making people who don't know better feel like they are good. Never should have been in the game, but it was aimed at younger players with not as great reflexes I think.

    • Its absurd that i can not turn aim assist off. I always turn it off. I will not buy any dlc for destiny until i can turn it off. And for the people saying it has to be there cause off thumbsticks, my kdr has always been between 2 and 3 and some times higher WITHOUT aim assist. Im talking about COD 2 and 3 BO1 and 2, BF3 and 4 ,killzones 1-3 Borderlands 1 and 2 just to name a few. I can understand its in the game, for obvious reasons, but there should be a way to turn it of completely. I definetly do not want to shoot ai with aa on. And if this will make me get my ass kicked in online mp, so be it. But i wanne bet it wont. SO PLEASE GIVE ME THE OPTION TO TURN IT OFF!

Bump for sure. I hate aim assist with a passion. People seem to be able to abuse it in pvp. At least from my perspective. Guy's about to die and his buddy runs across my screen. What happens? I end up dead and the guy I "was" shooting at lives.

    • Agree 100%. It's just about the most annoying thing in the game to me. Same with melee— I can't control who I hit or what part of the enemy I hit. Auto-aim has never helped me. It's only made me miss targets I'd have otherwise killed. If something like is going to be in the game, it needs to be an option.
