Only if its optional. wanted to give the matchmaking for weekly a chance (twice) and i saw the problems already. One person was afc mostly and moving controls periodically and the second time (i have three 32 characters) i pretty much soloed the boss because both of the other guys died barely into valus. They werent even worth my time to revive. Matchmaking is ridiculously worst idea ever if its mandatory because if i take my usual squad and its there is a disconnect w one person at the boss [spoiler][/spoiler]then why should a random benefit to collect loot.

  • thing is who are these people completing nightfalls as a 2 man team or solo? anyone who attempts it as a full team of 3 won't see any difference at all but I do think the current afk problems needs to be sorted by simply weighting or replacing the RNG so it actually rewards players that way any afkers get pretty much nothing

  • Stating that i might as well have done it solo as the two other ppl rushed out and died on valus. That is the advantage of a team who are familiar w a strategy rather than some random who is a hinderance. Then there is the lvl cap, if u are lvl 32 and get stuck w 2 lvl 27s on a lvl 30 nighfall and they dont have the correct weapons--makes nightfall even more challenging. As for afc, no way to weigh that. Rng can be a pain as it is, where u get 9 crappy ascendant material to exotic item. A whole team doing nightfall can might not be awarded an exotic--by weighing should they earn only 3 ascendant then. Experienced teams for nightfall, always designate one person to hang back so whole team does not wipe, he may not get that many kills then so should he be penalized for being a team player? Again matchmaking should be optional.

  • personally I dont get bungies logic either no support you find a team yourself or dont play to the other extreme where they force players onto you with matchmaking....... as you said why not have both? surely it cant be that hard to add another tab after "destination, difficulty, public/private" but if a had to choose I would prefer the matchmaking and as for your example personally I have never been in a strike so far with someone who wasn't either 1 level +/- people who enter as a group will have no difference the only people it will effect are the people who either would try to solo or not even attempt it n worst case gets stuck with crappy teammates which is still preferable to not playing aye there would be complications and variables that would need to be balanced in a weighted system to take into account different play styles/team work but if 1 guardian has only dealt 10% or less of the damage of another guardian do they really deserve the same odds at a legendary engram as the over 2? i just reckon it would be less broken than the current system
