I needed two shards to get my Hunter to 32 so I decided to solo the abyss part of Crota's End. I used 'Don't Touch Me' Gauntlets and carried my Icebreaker to give me +2 agility. I've only ever done the whole raid a few times so I think that's why I got little lost near the end... It took me about 8 attempts but it was a great feeling running across that bridge and getting the two shards I needed...
Good Vibes Always

Congrats! If you have a MIDA multi tool and select +2 agility you won't believe how much faster it makes you run. Make sure it's upgraded to have its namesake perk enabled.
-
Kudos, I remember my first time doing this and I swear my heart was pumping running it and then thinking don't eff up don't eff up. Lol I was so excited I almost jump sideways off the bridge like a dumb ass, but fortunately I was able to pull it off and now it's nothing more than a few min stroll. The best thing for invis running this area is if you have MIDA, makes this all much easier and quicker.
-
I can do it on normal no problem, on hard it's a challange tho
-
MIDA Multitool and Dont Touch Me's. Just sprint through the entire thing. Easy on normal, bit of a challenge on hard mode at the end.
-
I see good tips from everyone. For me, I use same setup, I run through lamps without killing anything, activate last lamp, activate bridge, u turn to right, jump on tall rock, snipe the ogre, wait for bridge, when the darkness is lifted I go back through the map to find the chest, then I cross the bridge. 4 radiant materials for one lamp run, plus one time I pulled a warlock class armor from the chest.

TRUTH.

Cheers Mate :)

Another big satisfaction is when you help other guardians (classes) through the abyss. Congrats hunter.

Nice job man I'll offer you a few tips that will make your life much easier 1. Learn to hip fire that icebreaker backwards. As a lvl 30 on normal or 32 on hard it on shots thrall to the chest. 2. When using vanish with arc blade use RT once at the beginning and once at the very end of your super. Give 2x the length of invisibility. 3. I like to hop up on the rock by the lamp and wait for the ogre. With ice breaker, black hammer, longbow synth, LDR maxed you can cause the ogre to stumble endlessly and kill him. 4. Dont forget to go up the hill lol. I only laugh cause it happened to me when I first did the raid. 5. Here is my favorite map for the abyss http://i.imgur.com/k53gi3Q.jpg

You can do that easily with warlock too:P
-
This is so easy as a Hunter. It's different as a warlock or titan.
-
I done hard mode solo on my 31 hunter yesterday. Was pretty chuffed. Only got energy mind -_-
-
No scope with the ib it works very well
-
Never forget my first successful lamp run. I was solo just messing around trying to find the route, next thing I knew there were 5 people cheering me on. I felt like such a bamf when the path cleared.
-
Cool, that first time is awesome, heres a pro tip for you.. When you come to the 6th lamp up the first hill, turn directly left to find a shortcut ending right up lamp 10 skipping lamp 7-8-9. Mida + murmur is easy as hell
-
Where did you find the covenant of artorias? There are no wolves with swords in thus game. Not yet at least...
-
Solo ran Hard mode for the first time last night. Honestly, its exciting the first time you run the lamps, but it quickly becomes boring...
-
Congrats. I'm very experienced on lamps so I just go on LFG and offer to carry teams through the lamps XD fifteen runs a week or so
-
Nice. A hint is that you can usually sprint through the first 3 if your agility is high enough. Just make sure to run by the lamps to lower darkness by 1 or 2.
-
Edited by CityWide 74: 2/28/2015 3:12:55 PMI so it about ten times a week to help people. I don't think I have ever killed one thing in the abyss when soloing. Lol. I hope you are talking about hard crota? Well it doesn't matter good job anyway.
-
Nice, I also do it a couple of times every week on hard. If you need help, add me and I'll do it for you or help you. Takes only 6 or 7 mins Just message me! PS4: FreshMaca

Good work hunter. Welcome to the solo club
-
Definitely gets the heart pumping, making sure you don't die right at the last lamp (did that a couple of times myself!). I usually complete it with no deaths but sometimes I still turn the wrong way at the third last lamp.. Does anyone on here solo it with anything but a hunter? I tried with my warlock. Bloody thrall just kept coming - ended up giving up after killing 448 of them.
-
Is there a way to solo it without don't touch me gauntlets? I got about halfway with my 28 hunter before I got killed. I would go to a lamp, jump on a rock next to it and crouch for invisibility. Then I'd run to the next lamp, hopefully lose my weight of darkness and jump on another rock.
-
Why are you posting this? I solo'd this part on hard as a 31.
-
Nice. I do it regularly. Very fun. Crank up the fun by picking up a Multi-Tool. +2 to Agility AND increased movement speed.
