Bungie, the auto rifle was not the problem to begin with after the first nerf. There is another game developer that is very well known that you could take a lesson from. Out of respect for you guys, I won't post the name, but the nerf bat is the weapon of last resort for these guys. They prefer to study why certain weapons are preferred over others, then buff what's not being used. Sadly, bungie, you do have a history of nerfbatting any automatic weapon. Remember the ar from halo 3? Even though it was the starting weapon, was adequate for what it was supposed to do, the br/dmr was the one that you paid the most attention to. Please just undo the second nerf, leave the first one. I do not know what the thought process is there behind the scenes regarding automatic weapons, but if you are this dead set against autorifles, just stop putting them into the game to begin with. That which is not known to exist is not missed when it is removed or modified. We have had time with the autorifle therefore we do know of it's existence and what it is capable of. For far too long, the thing that needs to be looked at (as detailed even as far back as the halo 2 dvd with special features) was that when you studied weapons, you had the actual military out there at your studios showing everything in their arsenal to you. The preferred weapon of every branch of the service? An autorifle. The suros WAS a happy medium, but too powerful and was deserving of a drop. Everything else did what it was supposed to do. By nerfbatting the second time, You've removed from the options quite literally 1/4th of the primary weapon arsenal. Please with respect bungie, revisit the changes to the ar weapon class as a whole. We know you have the ability to modify individual weapons. This is the time for a scalpel, not a broadsword.
