Destiny weekly reset should be removed. Players should be able to play as much as they want without waiting for weekly reset right???? So we can get multiple chances getting exotics...etc
I don't see any other game doing it. Especially Diablo 3 in rift or greater rift etc.
We paid for the game and we should be able to play when ever and how much we want. Without any restrictions.
*** Before you vote and input comments ask your self if someone is new to Destiny community, how long they have to play to get everything? Why???
To all the haters... I got most of everything and 3 characters are all 32's. I don't need anything. Just trying to help guys starting new.
Destiny is just another game to me. No big deal.

They would alter the drop rates to reflect the higher number of player completions w/ the resultant effect of not being able to get anything any faster. We would have a much less chance of probability of getting good loot w each run. It would be an even greater grind fest than it is now.
-
It's that old saying there is no such thing as a stupid idea there's only stupid people
-
How does one vote other on a yes or no question?
-
Nobody stopping you from playing those activities as much as u want... they are only allowing loot once a week tho, and that is justified in my opinion
-
Without the reset, people would get all of the good stuff too quickly, and blow through the game in only a couple of weeks. It should take a while to get to end game content, not a few days.
-
Horrible idea.
-
Ok so my reasoning for why we have them is this: 1. We would get everything from xur with no limits(everyone would have exotics) 2. Having 3 characters would be useless now 3. You could do the nightfall over and over again 4. No one would be excited for Tuesday of all days anymore ._. 5. More ideas? Make sure to let me know!
-
People would get too good too fast
-
The drop rate would be cut down 100 times less than its current drop rate and nobody would play. Think things through
-
The resets just keep people from farming the raids/nightfalls to death and getting everything in a short time. I get what you're saying about the new players, but at the same time how would it feel for people that had to grind for months to get gear/weapons to see someone get everything in a week or two. As it is now there are plenty of chances to get stuff nightfalls, raids, weekly heroic, roc strikes, it's not like it really limited for people that put in the time.

Edited by CAMPING CAMPER: 2/28/2015 4:35:35 PMYes please! They should also make trading possible. I'll be playing the Nightfall all day long, farm exotics, and sell it for cash.
-
People would just do like 50 nightfalls a week and get every exotic
also you're missing #satire
-
You act like you can only play a raid once per week. All content is available to be replayed throughout the week, just you can only be rewarded once. If we would be rewarded every time it would break the game, allowing players to completely max out everything within days.
-
If destiny is "just another game" in your words, why have you logged 800+ hours? I'd love to see how many hours you log on a game you do like
-
keep the weekly reset but make lvl 30 heroic strike playlist (reduced rep gain and rewards for completion by quite a bit but have a higher chance to get legendary)
-
It is there partly for longevity, it keeps you doing the content in smaller doses for longer, averting burnout and helps stretch the content between releases. It also keeps the playing field even for people that could play all day and those that can't. With no reset a segment of players would very quickly have all the gear while a large group would then be left far behind. This creates it's own problems.
-
This is idiotic lmao
-
Every MMO ever made ...... EVER ........ Has a weekly reset. You would max everything out in a month or less
-
Edited by mma hoodie: 2/28/2015 4:12:30 PMDo you realize what you are saying Everybody will have everything in the game in a day Please Stop Please.
please stop
You can play the weekly cycle missions all you want. You just can't get all the rewards each time. So what you really want is an endless stream of loot. It's a balance thing. If you got exotic loot every time you went through the vault, the game would be flooded with killer gear. Yes, there's already tons of exotics in play. So much so that exotics aren't exotic. But your recommendation would make it even worse.
-
I think right now the game should loosen the weekly restriction, any of the content in is relatively old and worn out now, everybody has all the raid weapons and armour. The exotics are another thing most people have piling up in their vaults now. My reason is purely this, Destiny becomes boring, for me, before Thursday and then it's a wait until Tuesday to actually do something again. So right this minute, weekly limit should be unrestricted. However, I would support reimposing the restriction upon release of new content, be it for the entire game or specific pieces of the game. That way when the new HoW raid is released, people can't farm it 100 times in the first week.
-
You already have multiple chances to get exotics Let's say you have 1 30+ character You can do: Nightfall Weekly heroic (you have a chance to get a purple engram) VoG (2 chances) CE (2 chances) That's 6 chances right there
-
Well technically u can play as much as you want. You could do the raid 10 Times in a week. You just dont get rewards. And thats nothing new. After you beat the mission/level in most games you can replay it with no reward. So in a sence the weekly reset is better. At least once a week u will be able to get rewards again.
-
World of Warcraft does weekly resets for raids/nightfall etc. Destiny is a MMO even though Bungie doesn't like the term.
-
Perhaps strikes, but not raids. I don't like the idea of changes this big at this time. It's like if they allowed trading all of a sudden. We would only see these things if they needed a massive shake up. Maybe in Destiny 2.
-
All the MMO type games do it though. Heck World of Warcraft has its weekly reset on Tuesday as well.
