Heck yeah! I would love raid matchmaking. Just completed my first weekly heroic strike with matchmaking and it was awesome not spending all that extra time posting on forums, lfg, and sending out invites. There should really be nobody against this, because if you don't want raid matchmaking, you could still form your own party, like normal, so it wouldn't affect you at all. Bungie should at least implement it on a trial basis to see how it would go. They could always take it out if there were any problems. If Bungie wants to keep as many people playing this game for as long as possible, raid matchmaking would be one way to do it.

They should have an lfg system in game :(. Players can go to the tower, access a "Raid" NPC and click on two options, "Host" or "Join." If you are hosting, enter in your gamer tag, class, level, and experience level from beginner, intermediate, and expert. You can enter in a maximum of 40 characters as well (e.g Join me guys. Gjallarhorns and Icebreakers please) lol. You can select how many players you are looking for to join your group, so LF5, LF4, LF3 and such. You can even enter in what type of players you want, from the level, class, and experience. Before someone can officially join you, they have to send a "party request." This allows you to inspect their character before finally accepting the request. If you decide to click on joining, you can click on your region, then you'll see dozens of posts and you can sort through them all by the host's level, class and/or experience. It'll even display the time of the post, so you know when. Also, it'll include how many members are in his or her party (i.e 3 in DeathShot's party) If a player is trying to troll, the host can simply kick him or her. If you reject somebody's party request, they cannot send another request for 5 minutes. This way, you can't get spammed lol. Once you have a full party, it'll let others know by displaying 6/6 and options to send a party request will be invalid until a spot is available again. Considering the few millions of players with no knowledge about the lfg websites or even Bungie.net, no friends to play with because their friends play different games, or different time schedules, I say yes, give the people raid something already. There's a reason why only a few percentage of players have raided. (Not because it's hard) If it'll benefit a lot of gamers, why not? Just make it to where nobody can get fùcked over.

There's many ways to solve the issues of afkers. Bungie either lacks the skills or are incompetent. One person designated as fireteam leader who can kick, and then queue for a new person to join Time before the mission actually launches to find out who's afk or not Allow voting to kick people And some others

Yes. If someone leaves, I'll get someone from forum or the game brings in another. Lots of people are missing out on the raid because they're unwilling to find people.

I did my weekly heroics with matchmaking and had a good experience all three times. That is not to say that next week will be good, just happy with this week. Nightfalls (if they had matchmaking) might be okay, might be bad. No way to tell. Only thing that I know would make them bad is people's gear. I know that could never be regulated but I could see that being an issue. That being said, raids are a whole different thing. I still maintain they should have an "in the tower" LFG board to make it "easier," but unless something drastically changes, I do not want to see matchmaking in raids.
