Keep in mind the bad experiences you've had with matchmaking on strikes. People go afk a lot! That would kill a raid! Also, how could you work together with with people you just met?
-
We already have matchmaking. The only difference is it won't be as much of a pain in the ass for us.
-
Never. This would be the one thing that would actually make me quit.
-
Noobs would go afk or leave after a stupid death. Better to find a clan of people that like to raid together
-
Because my work schedule isn't always the same, the chances of me creating a team and do it in my time is not reasonable. So offering a way to quickly make a raid group would be more convinient for me. I'm on the minority on this (I asume) but atleast for the near future I won't be able to do any raids :(
-
I vote yes as long as you can vote to kick (in case people are idle too long) and you can lock/unlock the group to fill an open slot during the game
-
I don't see the difference between matchmaking and the LFG you don't know the people your joining so it's about the same outcome as Match making. The only real difference is if someone is looking for 5 people you know the team probably won't have many people that know each other but if they are looking for a group that just needs 1 member in the LFG they might have a group that is acountable to each other so just adding one random won't hurt the team. But that is a big might because they may have found a bunch of random people and they were just waiting for one more.

Your poll is invalid, it is influenced by your AFK statement, Try again and state how wonderfull the weekly matchmaking is. UI am sure results will be different.
-
Nooooooo. Don't want to go into a crota hard raid with a 30.
-
I think there should be an in game lfg. Meaning I could host a raid party and people could join at will but if they're terrible or they go afk, the person that hosts the party could kick them.
-
I think that 100% of the content should have optional matchmaking. If someone doesnt want to use it great, but it should be offered to those who do. Although I am ecstatic about them adding matchmaking to the weekly strikes, I dont care for how they did it. You should still have the option to run it solo or to start it while waiting on a friend to join.
-
I think we should get lobbies. Fireteam leader creates a lobby with 4 of his friends or randoms on LFG. They're still looking for one more person and they can't find anyone. So FT leader can go into matchmaking and set search preferences like Raid: VoG Hard Level: 30-32 Grimoire minimum: 1900 Mic: Yes Checkpoint: Gatekeepers And then they should give people a place to search and enter these lobbies in the tower.

It would be ok if ppl would actually talk to ppl then I guess it would be fine

Edited by Ziggerastica: 2/26/2015 3:24:47 PMI was doing the weekly raid and me and another guy where down facing the boss. The other guy just hid under the ramp and just stood there for AGES!!!! ( both of us where dead and waiting for him/her to revive us
-
If mm is a seperate option, why not? If it's forced like the Weekly, no.
-
why the hell not? you'd still be able to get a team together and find players through the forums, nothing would change. But it'd give those kids who can't find raid groups a way to do them. If bungie did it right and put only 31+ for CE hard and 30+ for CE normal it could definitely work
-
No, just no. I'm totally for matchmaking in story mode though.
-
how could i work together with people i just met? you mean how i normally play with people from the forums?
-
Wtf all raids work together with people that just met, people should be able to flag themselves in the tower as lfg and people should be able to invite said people.
-
NO!!!! Read the post above about the guy warming up for the weekly. Really!
-
Yes but normal only

Edited by Panther: 2/26/2015 2:52:58 PMWhat bothers me about random groups is that people tend to leave abruptly after the group wipes a few times. PUGs have a tendancy to not stick together for very long when things go badly whereas with friends, everyone sticks around until the raid is done, no matter how long it takes. I'd be down for an optional matchmaking but not mandatory.
-
As long as they keep the same level group. So if I go into crota hard as a level 32 I get paired with other 32s
-
1st, afks 2nd, people who dont listen 3rd, people who dont know what to do 4th, kids 5th, less communication, i.e people without mics 6th, underleveled people, do not want randoms under 30, frankly dont want randoms at 30 without seeing their skill level
-
Why not? I would happily join a matchmade group. I need help on CE but I can help others in VoG. Joined a totally random group of people who had never met last night and we did the full VoG fairly easily. Since I don't have GH or HoC it's hard to find groups for CE. Would like a matchmade group of 29+ for that.
-
If it's optional matchmaking, yes. Mandatory, no. Sometimes I like to go into raids alone or with just one or two other people to good off and test weapons and such. More specifically, I like to solo the lamps on CE when I have nothing else to do. As long as I still have this option I don't care what they do.
-
Matchmaking with the option to shut it off would be nice imo
