The Kid and Kermit

On the forums there is a debate. One between a kid and a frog (kermit). After reading the posts I had to clarify some things. I'll list the good first so the butthurt people don't jump to the comments. I want people to read. 1. Kermit is a real jerk. He deleted the kids stuff for his enjoyment and lied to him. What Kermit did was not right. 2. The fault in this event is within the kid. Why? Because a choice is what determines a fate. He was not forced in anyway to give his info but chose to trust him. 3. Is the kid stupid? No. Kids make mistakes. That is what being a child is all about, we grow and learn. Yes, the kid learned a lesson. 4. The kid made a mistake. An 11 year old boy who plays games should know to never allow someone you don't know have your info. These warnings are posted everywhere on the internet and all over some games. 5. The kid attempted to cheat. Hearing a rumor of said cheat, he tried it. In real life an attempted murder is still illegal. This community is blinded by age, I say this because if the same thing happened to an adult, not much would be done. Just a simple "Deal with it." Who's fault?: The Kid Why?: Because a choice is a choice. He chose to trust him and was not forced to release any information. His freewill is what made him do it. Who was wrong?: Kermit and The Kid Why?: Kermit was a jerk for deleting his characters. I know what it feels like to lose something valuable to me, it hurts and I don't like it ehen it happens. However, the kid was wrong for giving info and attempting to cheat the game. The kid is at fault but the frog did something that shouldn't have been done. Should this kid be rewarded? No. He should not be rewarded for a mistake. Rewarding someone when wrong will only promote more bad. I propose something other than a reward. A profile restoration. Edits:

  • So you're blaming the victim of the crime instead of the criminal. That's like saying by going to a party and behaving a certain way you ask for bad things to happen to you. Blame the real person at fault here, not the kid.
