Why are people supporting "the kid"?

Read the edit below before revealing the rest of the post.
You've got to be a complete moron to support this kid. He willingly gave control of his console to a complete stranger in hopes that said stranger would rank up his characters for free. Stranger (kermit) then deletes the kids characters. Kermits motives are not clear at this point, but the fact of the matter is that the kid was willing to risk his characters to rank them up for free. He was trying to CHEAT. Do you know what CHEATING is? Someone cheese a raid, and all hell breaks loose. A kid tries to glitch his characters and he's seen as a hero. I honestly don't know what to think of the Destiny community at this point. The kid was trying to cheat, and was met with swift justice. Was he actually going to get his characters ranked up? Of course not, but that's not the point. He had the intention of cheating and he got what he deserved. This is essentially what's happening right now: Some dude has a plan to rob a bank. He meets up with a stranger who also wants to rob a bank. However, this stranger is actually a cop. The cop plays him all the way up until the heist, and then busts him. According to the logic displayed by the libtards on the forums, the robber is innocent and should be seen as a hero, and the cop should be fired for arresting the guy before he actually committed the crime, even though it was obvious that he was actually going to rob the bank. Again, you're a complete moron if you're supporting this kid. He wasn't even old enough to play Destiny, let alone have a twitch channel.
EDIT: I'm not saying what kermit did is right, but I'm also saying that the kid got what he deserved. Kermit honestly shouldn't have deleted the kids characters but what happened is 101% the kids fault. He gave control of his console to a stranger in attempts to cheat and level up his characters for free. All that was lost were some precious pixels. You could delete all my characters and I wouldn't care, there's more to life than video games (there's also more games out there).

    • The kid if eleven. He has more time on his hands than anyone. Maybe he will learn from this mistake and move on. Also who cares about this kind of stuff. Don't you have better stuff to do than dwell on some shit you have no tie to in actual life?

    • Kermit should have been more mature and respectful than that, and not represent the toxic people of Destiny. The kid should not have even given someone his account, so I hope that the kid will learn from this. I feel for the kid, but he made a mistake. Kermit is an ass. Something happened on my account where nearly 2/3 of my items up and disappeared. They were either deleted by a hacker (or my ex) or a glitch in the system happened. Either way, I was majorly upset. I can understand how the kid must feel. That's why I can say Kermit's actions were uncalled for. The kids 11 years old. Either tell him "no" or let someone else handle it.

    • I kinda agree here, if anyone is stupid enough to give someone else complete control of their game, they will get what is coming to them...

      • I am really tired of people defending the kid because he's 11, I was 11 once, weren't you? And I promise you I wasn't as stupid or entitled as that poor excuse for a child

      • Kermit did what any troll would do. Delete someone else's shit. The kid is sort of still at fault for essentially handing over a controller. Always have an eye out for your account. This event was sort of like a lesson to some people. The lesson was: Don't do dumb shit. ~TheGreatNike

        • Sorry bro, but you're the friggin moron. It was a KID. Taking advantage of a minor isn't teaching a lesson, it's abuse and just plain cruelty. It's no different than when someone scams the elderly. At young or advanced ages, people can be naive and unable to formulate wise decisions. To blame the victim is just plain asinine As far as saying the kid was cheating, please. How many people in here pushed Atheon off, cheese areas of the raid, or do other exploits? We're going to hold it against a child that he got excited at the thought that someone could make him a 32? You have to be a heartless idiot and complete asshole to blame a child. Unfortunately, this is another perfect example of what's wrong with the world. People want to blame the victim rather than the cancers that create the problems in the first place. You are truly a first class piece of shit my man.

          • When you are an eleven year old kid you to not have the fully developed ability to make responsible life descisions so sure the kid shouldn't have done it but the kid would have done it if Kermit hadn't offered it in the first place

              • I don't support either of them. But what this Kirmit did goes against all unwritten laws of men, never mess with another man and his electronics. Even know he is a kid, he is still of the male gender so the rules apply. The kid tried to cheat everyone says, but he didn't, because of the man code violation, so in retrospect, I support neither of them after reading all stories, on here and on Yahoo news. Kermit was ridiculed, and the Kid got new friends, calling people morons is not very nice, I would like to take a poll to see what the age range is of some the people who support the kid, and the ones who support the kirmit. I say 15-25 is the ones who support kirmit, and older support the kid, because it is a known scientific fact, the brain is not fully matured until the age of 25. fact With the fact that this kirmit guy is 23, just goes to prove this fact more.

                • Most people are half-wit communists, raised by television and public schools to disregard reality and prioritize their easily-manipulated feelings over reason and virtue. They're barely able to avoid drowning in their own feces and drool long enough to stumble onward and give lip service to the next sentimental cause that they're told to support. They violently lash out at the slightest challenge to their waking comas with a ferocity fueled by a lifetime of impotence and resentment of their superiors. You cannot reasonably expect them to understand what personal responsibility and integrity even are. The concepts are too advanced for them. Best thing to do is just distance yourself before they consume you. When all the producers within range have been eaten they'll turn on each other for the Great Cleansing.

As an adult and father of 4, I agree with this. When many others here, as well as myself were little kids, we were all told about the dangers of strangers and candy. Times have changed(somewhat) and the world is evolving. Dangers of the internet should be taught immediately. I actually showed my kids (5,7,9,13) this story, and guess what the first thing they asked me was? Why would they let a stranger have his account? Him being 11 is not an acceptable excuse.
