No, the cases I refer to will be randoms leeching off others and getting loot they do not deserve. It happens time and again in regular strikes and mark my words, it will happen in Weeklys if matchmaking is forced. I don't mind playing with others, as long as they contribute. I do prefer to solo at times for the challenge and it will break my fun (and countless others, just read the news article and forums) if I am forced to play one of my favourite activities with randoms when I rather solo them.

You are still able to start the weekly strike with 2 other players you can find in destinylfg.com or your friends. It isn't a big deal.

That is a big deal because it just creates so many extra steps. And what's to stop matchmaking from throwing people in my lobby once I am alone. So much less hazzle if we just retain the ability to solo it with an optional matchmaking option. Just cause you are okay with it does not mean everyone else is.

Well, just keep pressing then. See how many changes it takes until we get one that most players are happy with. The more we speak up, the higher chance is that we get what we want, probably more so now when the feature this thread, and so many other threads, protests against is not even implemented yet.

This is an announced thing still not implemented. I'd say the Golden Window is now, before the change is live. You never know.

Things don't go live overnight without weeks of effort. Trying to add something now will take months For example the Crota raid. The fix took a very long time to come and that was basically the whole team trying to fix it because it was such high priority. Now there are a bunch of low priority issues that will take a very long time to fix.

No, they don't go live overnight, but I am pretty sure I read that 1.1.1 was scheduled to go live before the end of february

Reasons are also clearly stated - the OP likes the additional challenge. Same reason people solo Nightfall or the raids.

It isn't an challange at all if the nightfall and weekly are solo'd so easily.
