Kid and Kermit Situation

For all of you people that are discussing this retarded topic and who are all quick to defend this 'innocent' little child. Number one: Kid is too -blam!-ing young to be playing destiny. Number two: Kid thought he was going to get away with cheating. Number three: Kid was going to violate terms and cheat the system. Number four: Your not innocent just because your a young kid. You guys need to look at the facts before you assume that Kermit is the bad guy here. Tbh, id do the same -blam!-ing thing Kermit did. Guess what, not only did it teach the little kid a life lesson that if you cheat on ANYTHING there WILL be consequences. And some sense of -blam!-ing morality. Thank you, had to get this off my chest. Edit 1: yall so salty lmao Edit 2: were trending now ;) Edit 3 (Important): people listen please, this thread was simply so I could let people know that there is good to be taken from this situation. Kermit may be an asshole and may have no sense of morals. But this young kid can really take a life lesson from this. If you need the lesson to be explained then hats your problem. Before you try to discourage me and insult me and Kermit right away. Think about it please. I'm not trying to offend anyone. And I'm open to respond to valid arguments.

  • Is this the pep talk you'd give to kids that get tricked into getting molested? Kid: *sob* *sob* *sob* You: "Well, I'm sorry your butthole hurts and you're scarred for life, but it's your fault you're so dumb and 11. So, what did you learn from all of this?"

Its real life we should care about. But u -blam!-ing perma gamers who have never worked a day in your life, dont know anything about real life. Get educated

      • It's quite simple, really. The kid is the victim here, plain and simple. Whether you believe "he had it coming" or not, the fact remains that the troll is the bad guy. Let's discuss a few principles, shall we? First let's assume that the kid is in fact in the wrong for seeking "hacks or exploits." While this is true it doesn't give a person the right to vigilante style justice. Furthermore, the punishment has to fit the crime. Is seeking a way to game the system cause to delete two of your character and some exotics? To me, it seems like that is a rather harsh punishment. Likewise, saying that the "kid had it coming" is like saying that the people who get conned by the "Nigerian prince" scam emails had it coming, too. It's foolish, yes, but that doesn't give someone the right to victimize you. To a lesser degree, it's like saying that a victim of -blam!- had it coming because of the way the dress, the places they visit, or the life style the live. Opportunity or susceptibility does not excuse the behavior. Bungie will definitely be banning this guy for what he did, violations of EULA. There could even be a civil lawsuit (trespass to chattels, for example).

          • Kid learned his lesson. I hope. Either way it's the parents that bought the game and don't have parental controls on it. I'll help the kid out as long as his parents let him continue to play

          • The adult is just that, an adult. Why would an adult act so maliciously towards a child in the name of teaching them a lesson?

            • Kid has to learn the hard way. Back when I was 11 playing runescape I lend some guy my account who said he would get me full rune. Guy stoled my account and took my hard earn 240k gp.

              • I learned this lesson the hard way too when I was younger. It was OG Runescape, a simpler time, but full of dirty trolls none the less. This player had a great gig going, he was "doubling" the gold people were giving him. And it seemed legit. Everyone at Varrock was doing it, and they all were thanking him graciously. Or so it seemed, now I'm not sure if these were people part of the scam or he was just waiting to pull a large enough heist to make up for what he was actually giving out to people. I was tentative at first, gave him a small amount of my gold, and he doubled it, I did another test, this time with more gold, once again, doubled. By this time I was thinking, wow this guy is genuinely interested in helping people. So this next time, I gave him ALL the gold I owned, which was a f*ck ton, like shit man, it was a lot of f*cking runescape gold at the time. And sitting there, with a twinkle in my eye, I watched with horror, as that f*cking dick starts sprinting his giggling ass away. Devastated, I follow him, screaming, shouting at him in chat. He logs out. along with all my hard earned gold. I raged, vowed never to play again blah blah. BUT, I learned a valuable lesson, don't cry..., don't feel sorry for yourself..., learn from your mistakes... And I did. I became that doubling douchebag, I began running my own scams on naive victims, and I made more gold doing so than I ever had before. If you can't beat them, join them. I thank that evil genius.

                    • 1: there is a shit load of people who are under 17 that play M rated games. what's so bad about a kid playing a T rated game? 2: haven't we all cheated at one point before? and actually got away with it? 3: no one gives a shit about terms and conditions.

                    • The kid only lost 3 exotics. I thought he lost a boat load tbh. Getting characters up to 28 and 26 only takes a few days depending on how you play. And those 3 exotics were Plan C, Truth, and Dragons Breath. So I understand why he cried after thinking he only lost the plan C
