Kid and Kermit Situation

For all of you people that are discussing this retarded topic and who are all quick to defend this 'innocent' little child. Number one: Kid is too -blam!-ing young to be playing destiny. Number two: Kid thought he was going to get away with cheating. Number three: Kid was going to violate terms and cheat the system. Number four: Your not innocent just because your a young kid. You guys need to look at the facts before you assume that Kermit is the bad guy here. Tbh, id do the same -blam!-ing thing Kermit did. Guess what, not only did it teach the little kid a life lesson that if you cheat on ANYTHING there WILL be consequences. And some sense of -blam!-ing morality. Thank you, had to get this off my chest. Edit 1: yall so salty lmao Edit 2: were trending now ;) Edit 3 (Important): people listen please, this thread was simply so I could let people know that there is good to be taken from this situation. Kermit may be an asshole and may have no sense of morals. But this young kid can really take a life lesson from this. If you need the lesson to be explained then hats your problem. Before you try to discourage me and insult me and Kermit right away. Think about it please. I'm not trying to offend anyone. And I'm open to respond to valid arguments.

  • I haven't heard anything about the boy's father. He Probly has one mom who has to whore herself out which means she got him the system to keep him busy.

    • I will say that the kid should NOT have given account control to a complete stranger. While Kermit was on his friend's list it doesnt seem like the kid knew him at all beyond that. Its very unfortunate and sad (I think crying about it may have been a bit much...) and Kermit should NEVER have done such a despicable act (giving a beloved child hood character a bad name) but I hope the kid can at least take something away from this. Maybe I've become a little cynical in this era of "everyone gets a trophy, everyone is a winner" and feel that we coddle children too much. No excuses for Kermit, but also poor decision making on this kid's part (and yes I realize he is an inexperienced child...but thats why every kid knows to simply NOT TALK TO STRANGERS. Game with your friends from school.)

Uh... The rating is a parental guide. Parent you're own kids when/if you have any. My other problem with this argument is the fact that it seems to lessen the blame for the con artist. When a 12 year old girl sneaks out to a party, I guess her being taken advantage of is her own fault. Get real... Some or all lessons should not have to be trial by fire.

        • I think a solution is readily available. Either ban all children, or ban all adults. Problem solved.

        •
Tbh, id do the same -blam!-ing thing Kermit did.
Apparently you think seeking out gullible folks and tricking them into game sharing so you can delete their stuff is okay. It's not just that he deletes people's stuff, he seeks out people to do it to. I've seen at least one other video in the help section where kermit did the same thing to someone else, and read many posts with no videos saying the same thing. That is the real issue here. He's a predator. Perhaps people should remove you from their lists as well, since you think this behavior is okay.

              • Really interested to see if Bungie or Playstation ever make a ruling on this. Both are in clear acts of violations of code of conduct and or terms of use. You also have one child (don't think he is an adult guys) bullying another which is a federally regulated law.

              • If you let your child loose in the Internet without supervision, you're setting them up for trolling or worse. Parents were dumb not to be watching their 11 year old playing with complete strangers. The sad fact for this kid is, the Internet just taught him a lesson that his parents should have. Kermit is a villain, yes. The world is full of them. Teach your children to survive accordingly.

First you say you'd do the same thing. Then you say kirmit is an asshole and has no sense of morals. So, if I added that up correctly, YOU'RE an asshole and have no sense of morals. Good to know.

                    • If I were 11 I'd be devastated. We all know how LONG it takes to grind stuff so to play a game for fun and waste time but have someone delete it is plain wrong . Dude should be banned and reported for bullying. End of story

                        • To those saying "The kid wasn't hacked.. he willingly gave that guy Kirmit access to his console. That's not hacking." You obviously have no idea what hacking really is and clearly have never heard of social engineering which is in fact a form of hacking. Ever hear of a guy named Kevin Mitnick? Social Engineering was one of the primary tools he used to convince people to give him their credentials which he later used to illegally gain access to private computers and networks and Kevin was arrested and served time in prison. Kevin didn't steal any passwords or usernames. He merely convinced people by deceiving into thinking he was an employee of the same company they worked for. This is essentially the same tactic this guy KirmitTHEfrog used to gain access to not just that one kids console but also another players console a few months prior. So yes, that Kirmit guy DID in fact hack into the kids console which I am sure is in violation of Sony's terms of service for PSN.
