MOBA's for Consoles
So I have always been a console guy. Have only played one or two PC games in my life. I have nothing against PC games, nor do I think any platform is inherently ether than any other..
Now, that being said, I almost started playing League of Legends this past month, but quickly found the learning curve was too steep and the community massively hostile to anyone not good enough to do well. And then I found out Smite (another Massive Online Battle Arena) was going to come out on console. I am really pumped for this. I really want to get into this type of game.
Anyone else had experience with these games and can chime in on the potential for a GOOD console MOBA?

Smite and Battleborn look sweet, can't wait to play them on Xbox one. As for LoL, that community is toxic as -blam!-.

Edited by Jet Tea: 2/19/2015 5:19:55 AMYou won't get flames as bad in Dota, the game is entirely free and you should give that one a shot too. It's free on Steam. Edit: I'm also excited Smite is coming to console, and I heard Battleborn is supposed to be a MOBA type game as well.

4 RepliesTo be honest, most MOBAs would not be very nice to play on console due to most of them catering towards a Keyboard and Mouse control scheme. Some could work though.

2 RepliesI understand ur urge to try and see if u like a different genre u dont play often, since i myself wanna get into good MMOs but im also a console guy. For example, i tried defiance when it went F2P and ill admit, it could be better but i liked it, the thing that got me off of playing it was the random logging off errors. I tried destiny but u probably know how that went.... i wanna try out elder scrolls online when it comes out on ps4 without the monthly fee, wich im still skepticle about since i hear its not all that good even after all the fixes and patches since the original launch. Idk, i want a good mmo, fvck, i remember when i heared about wildstar and saw a video on how it looked and acted... i thought, "holly sh!t, i love the art style, i wanted to get into this genre more before, and it seems its scense of humor will apeal me!" Then a trailer came out saying it was only coming out for pc... and that it had monthly fees...its easily sad to say my throbing boner instantly disimflated from hearing these news... :c So im still waiting for a good MMO on console to this day, be it a medieval theme, or futuristic with guns theme, i just want a solid mmo to play with a few friends, till then ill stick to rpgs and monster hunter-type games such as soul sacrifice delta, freedom wars, and ragnarok odyseey ace. T^T sorry for my long rambling btw.

2 RepliesCasual mobas sure. Smite is a slice of a very strange pie though giving a different perspective which could work on consoles no issue. But traditional mobas like LoL can only really work properly on PC. Mouse and keyboard are just better at some things then others. *sips tea*

Lord of the Rings: Guardians of Middle Earth was a good MOBA for console that nobly really knew about.
