Crucible: Final Round Solution (Snipers)
Okay so this was the thread about Final Round for Sniper Rifles, and the point of it was to bring a little justice to Crucible and possibly enable a balance.
[i]The Conclusion[/i]: Final Round will not take affect (increased damage) if the following shots miss the target. This helps to cancel Abusers.
I am going to break this down for all the groups of people that have posted.
[b]PvE Players ONLY[/b]
Now for all of y'all that enjoy PvE, yes changing the weapon for PvP has made an effect to PvE (Mythoclast) but making this change will not affect PvE in a drastic measure.
[b]Competitive PvP Players ONLY[/b]
I appreciate the fact that y'all saw and recognized my post for what it truly meant and what I was getting at with my point

So if I am complete trash at the game (like y'all wanna believe) then why is it that I am the #1 player for Doubles TrueSkill on PSN?

Also for anyone else, if y'all got the wrong image of me then my apologies as my post may not have seemed very clear. I would like to have Final Round removed NOT because I am losing to it, or I can't snipe (whatever excuse y'all may think) but simply because many competitive clans do not want to be one shotted from the foot.. Through a wall.. Across the entire map... Need I say more?
I agree using Final Round feels cheap and dishonorable, but if I'm facing a team that shoots off the first 2 rounds and literally ONLY uses Final Round, then it doesn't matter how good of a sniper I am or anyone for that matter, all they have to do is aim anywhere, shoot, and that's it. (I've come across horrible abusers that couldn't hit the side of a barn, but that's besides my point)
Pretty cheap huh? Cause I know first hand how it feels and this is game breaking.

4 RepliesI just want to say... Being a high rank in doubles is not very impressive. No offense, you seem like a very good player. Your average K/D is better than mine, but honestly playing doubles with a friend who is as good as yourself is just too easy, almost never a challange... You can't deny that, right? Once again, no offense, just pointing it out. So you want final round removed from snipers. For the record, I don't use it myself. To me it seems that players who empty their first two shots, will only have a real advantage with this in doubles. Because in any other game mode you will get taken out if you are not a well enough sniper. About the no skill part... I have to make the comparison to Hawkmoon here. It seems to have almost as much range as a sniper, but ofcourse is easier to aim. Now where is the skill involved in getting a two hit KO, or even a one hit KO? I'm hitting all headshots with my gun, they turn around and *bam* lucky shots. I'm just trying to say that if final round should be removed from snipers, there are still similar problems with other weapons.

2 RepliesIf aiming was actually effected by being shot this wouldn't be an issue. I can't tell you how many times I've unloaded on a sniper with High Caliber Rounds just to be 1 shot sniped in the face.

My friends were playing skirmish last night a team abused final round and used shoot to loot to max there rockets. They still lost by a couple of hundred points.

It's a trade-off. To get the final round you have to waste just about an entire mag. Also, if you miss you have to reload. So while they do get this one shot body shot they will have to go get some ammo sooner rather than later. IMO it is better to be using a phaedoth's revenge and scout rifle them.

13 RepliesAt least utilizing a sniper rifle correctly requires some skill. You should really be complaining about the one shot kill grenades but you won't because you use one.

Just because you're getting shit on by it does mean it needs nerfed. It's a one shot, so what? Many weapons are one shots and if you can just run around all game with final round and -blam!- with efrideets spear. Props to you, that actually requires more skill than just looking in a general direction and pulling the trigger.

I just ain't got time to be aiming for guys' heads. Actually these days I'm all about the blue sniper rifles. I have a Painted Sammuramat-C and a Silvered Caracas LR4 both with a higher rate of fire than my P&T and close to max stability. All you really need is that high rate of fire and high stability since all the sniper rifles (at least outside of the IB) kill with two shots to the body.
