Why cant bungie figure out how to transfer across platforms?
Rockstar can do it with GTA, and you can too. Get on it.

No. What rockstar did was one-time migration from old to new generation of your choice by linking Rockstar Social Club accounts. Destiny is a different case. Your character, game progress, inventory are tied to your PSN ID or XBL GT which can't be accessed from a different platform.

Because Sony doesn't want people buying Xboxes..and Microsoft doesn't want people buying Playstations. You can't do those things without the permission of the console companies, and there is no PC version of Destiny (yet).
