These things won't just happen. There are steps: 1. Realize your fault. 2. Desire to change. 3. Put plenty of thought into it. 4. Make a plan of some kind. 5. Follow up on it, at your own pace. You're stuck in the third step. Don't run from your thoughts or try to distract yourself. Most people do, and those insecurities and problems ends up following them for the rest of their lives. Embrace your faults, and make the decision to change.
