I'm a massive wimp when it comes to scary games and refuse to play any game included in the horror genre, especially ones featuring zombies.
Dying Light recently came out and my friends have been trying to convince me to play; I said that I'd only play it if my Dad bought it for me, as I refuse to spend money on anything that will scare the -blam- out of me. He never buys me games so I figured I'd be safe from the zombies of doom.
The only problem? He thought it would be hilarious to see my reaction to it and is buying it for me at the weekend. Guys, halp!

Edited by TheDungslinger: 2/12/2015 5:13:45 PMI am scared of certain zombie games as well (didn't play it for a while) but it isn't too scary. The kind of scary part is the start and when you encounter night for the the first time) but it turns into so much fun later in the game, it becomes kind of like L4D, as you just drop kick zombies and throw them off buildings and it's so fun, just get it man :D just don't try and combat zombies in the start. If you play with friends as well it's hilarious to go out at night and start shooting a pistol everywhere
-
Play in hungry like the wolf lol
-
If you want to get over zombie games go grind black ops 2 zombies or resident evil 5... Both will break the association between zombie games and fear because they're both equally laughable
-
Zombies, eh? Back in the day, we had Aliens #Alien Trilogy Ps1
-
Don't worry dying light is not scary because u can B*tch slap zombies
-
If there wasn't 18,000 of them I'm sure I'd be scared too.
-
Im not good with scary games either i can watch them but to playthem myself frecks me out i have played the left for dead games and there ok have some parts that are really creepy.
-
According to what I've read lower down, you have L4D. Playing that should help fix your zombie fear in one full run of No Mercy or less. Though uh... Wait for the game to tell you about the cars before you shoot at them.
-
The horror!
-
You should play Outlast lol
-
You got to record your reaction.

Not going to lie it is kinda scary, especially at night! I'm kinda the same way but its still so fun, don't puss out and you will definitely fall in love.
-
It'll take awhile to get used to, but you'll end up enjoying it in the long run. I remember I was terrified of the original Left 4 Dead, and even had a couple of nightmares because of it (hunters are scary mofos). I have to say I'm pretty damn good at the game now.
-
I remember when I found resident evil 2 scary on the ps1. Silent hill on the ps1 cured that XD great game too. If you want to make a scary game scarier, play it alone in the dark on loud volume, preferably surround sound. (It shits you up :P) If you want to make it not scary, lights on, volume down, favourite music on, a friend or two there also. Mummy could hold your hand to top that off. (Sorry XD not saying you are that bad!)
-
Play L4D and shoot every car you can. It'll stun all the zombies in the area and give you a chance to run, so the game isn't all that scary. :D
-
You try Metro then.
-
It's a decent game. Just don't go out at night
-
Are you like 6 years old?
-
Play a game you're scared of with a few friends next to/playing with you. You'll start having so much fun talking and sharing the experience that you'll stop being scared. It worked for me. :-)

Edited by Sylux102: 2/11/2015 10:06:56 PMJust do it. And please upload a reaction video. If your Dad is doing this, he's awesome and deserves an award.

If you play with friends, it's really fun and not scary. I'm the same way. Dying light isn't really that bad.
