so today i'm on patrol with my 31 hunter on venus, run over to the citadel to get a bounty or two done. As soon as I pull in, a public event starts. It's eliminate the target, big minotaur, and he's spawned by the angry sniping hobgoblins in the corner. I see another guardian is there, so that's good, we can knock this out! I look again, its a level 13, and he is charging straight into the teeth of that gnarly beast, firing like there is no tomorrow. No time to switch loadout, I barely have any heavy, can't stop to pop a synth, it's a case of "run what you brung" I start firing my icebreaker, trying to get the beasts attention. 13 dies. I switch to my handcannon and take out a few of the vex hanging around. Beasty is pounding me, I revive 13, he starts firing right away. I switch to my void heavy machine gun, now we are in business!! Shield is down, health is going, beasty is on the run. 13 gets popped, down again just as I run out of what little heavy ammo I had. Revive 13, we are on the chase! I'm firing icebreaker, its out, switch to primary, fire all 11 rounds, reload, beasty is getting away, 13 is down again. Another revive, I start popping anything I can find in hopes of my super getting charged in time. 13 is running behind me and firing non stop at beasty! Checkpoint 3, on the way to 4, health is getting hammered, super comes on, its now or never! I leap over the group of vex, with their red lasers and booming cannons filling the air, pop golden gun, and fire 4 rounds into beasty! He drops!! Gold tier!! 13 is finishing off the vex behind me, so I turn and assist. its now that quiet moment after a hard fought victory, piles of vex parts at our feet, its a good day! 13 comes up to me, waves. I wave back! Last I saw he was heading back up that hill, perhaps for a little payback on those snipers! Great adventures on patrol!!
