Destiny doesn't need to be an mmo

http://www.reaxxion.com/1434/5-reasons-why-working-in-the-mmo-industry-sucks Mmos are dead. It was all based on subscription. Destiny doesn't need any of these shit mmo elements like weekly and raid events. It can just be a full time open and free world where we progress how we want and with people we like but aren't forced to need to complete content.
I think there are several reasons why people often dislike MMO's -A lot of the content is created through repetition -Many MMO's require a large time investment to be able to play endgame content -MMO players often do not play anything else, and are often not gamers in the broader sense -The MMO genre has been really stagnant, and new games released over the last decade have largely disappointed. -Most MMO's follow the same blueprint, and there is the general feeling that there is not enough variation. -A lot of people criticizing MMO's have played them and got burnt out on them. ---

"MMORPGs are like the worst part of regular RPGs stretched out over hundreds of hours."
