Wrote out the whole story as we know it from only in game content. You are a guardian fighting against the darkness. You were revived by a giant orb called the traveler. There's one city left on earth. Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal are bad dudes. Vex can teleport. There's some chick called the stranger. There are these guys called the awoken, they tell you where the black garden is. DLC setup. The Vex worship a god thats basically a smoker's lung, you kill it. Stranger shows up then disappears. DLC setup. Crota is a super bad hive dude. Eris is depressed. There are a bunch of other bosses and allies I'm expected to care about.
