[u][b]Let us trade our loot rewards with one member of our Fire Team at the moment we are awarded it.[/b][/u] I'm interested in everyone's thoughts and feedback on this idea. Bungie's stance on trading is pretty clear. They have stated their opinion. The negatives it would infuse into the game, is something they would like to avoid. - i.e; Dupping, players getting desired loot without having to actually play through the game. That is not their desired direction on how the game is designed to be played. I understand these concerns, and I mostly agree with them. A common thread among Destiny players is that they believe "the loot system is broken" or unfair. There is a growing hate for the RNG system that Bungie is using. I myself have been bitten by the cruel RNG system and it becomes very discouraging. This is especially true for new players trying to catch up with their friends, in their grindy traverse to attain high level, desirable gear. Too many times at an end of events, casual and hardcore destiny players receive undesirable rewards. Either the reward is not wanted or they simply have it already. But, at the same time another member of their Fire Team would give anything to attain said reward, and is something they really need for their character. That being said, I would like to present this idea of infusing trading into the game at this moment. [b]Introduce a one time option to trade "earned" loot rewards with one member of your current fire team.[/b] The timing of this event (trading) would need to be properly implemented, so I'm curious to hear your feedback. I was thinking either at the completion of a Mission, Strike, Nightfall, and/or Raid or at the moment rewards are given. sometime this at the same period of time. With this system, I believe it would not allow players to duplicate loot and still require players to play the games content in order to attain rewards, so as to be able to trade with a Fire Team member. I'm sure everyone has a friend that seems extremely luck with RNG and this would allow them to pass that luck onto their friend(s) if it is desired to do so. As opinions on this idea come in we can try and refine this to a point where it would make sense and still fit in the vision of destiny's game design. Hopefully we can get the attention of Bungie and get them thinking of ways to positively improve a game that I and many other people have come to enjoy.
