Please fix Crota's Exploits
I did the crota raid first day it was out and had a blast... We struggled through the raid learning as we went and it took roughly 7/8 hours and we couldnt down crota (1 more sword hit soooooo many times). IT WAS AWESOME!!! The fight mechanics and teamwork needed made it a blast... .. and then there was this week....
Hunter exploits the torches section with stealth......
Lock exploits the bridge with rez....
Group refuses to fight singer and just jumps to a checkpoint at crota....
Lock exploits the chalice at crota....
and the raid is done... hmmm... well that was zero fun....
There was absolutely no skill or fights except for crota and that was without 1 of the mechanics of the fight. It is becoming increasingly harder to find a group willing to actually play the raid and enjoy it without exploits. I am desperately hoping that Bungie patches this quickly so that the end game actually feels like the end game it should be.
I also think a couple things should be changed....
1. Move the first loot chest to be rewarded after the Wizard Singer.... Kinda a joke that some of the best items come from falling in a hole instead of rewarding one of the craziest parts of the raid.
2. Crota sword damage --- Level 32s will have no issues dropping him and level 30s basically cant drop him.... just round out the damage and lock it in at wherever the level 31 damage is set to.

Stealth isn't an exploit. Ask for fixes on real exploits , not bash players because they mastered the stealth mechanics.

I cheesed Crota after 3 straight days of constant glitches like Crota thinking he was the Templar and teleporting or moving left instead of right of jumping off the bridge after the sword guy. Lots of anger and we finally got to a point where we had enough.

Stealth isn't a cheese or an exploit, it's a game mechanic that was put in the game and I'm fairly certain they had that in mind while designing the first part.

If you can't even beat the raid quickly then something is wrong with your teams skill. First time I beat the raid with my team none of us used exploits . Took us bout 1.5 -2 hours to beat it. It's an easy ass raid

The raid is more of a strike. At least VoG required team work and planning, not running past and ignoring 90% of the ads

Well lamps section isn't really an exploit. That's using a classes ability to benefit yourself. Warlock rez is an exploit just because everything despawns.. kinda cheap.. Skipping to Oracles is something that has been done in vog too. It doesn't give us loot? Might as well jump past it.. same with deathsinger. Idk about any chalice exploit but I do remember during one crota fight we had 2 chalices somehow. So I'll believe ya. 30s don't do enough sword damage to crota anyways. That's why the first group to beat him had to sub in another guy. Same with the second and third groups..

I seriously don't understand why people want Bungie to focus on exploits when there are so many other glitches that effect everyone and completely ruin this game times. While cheesing may not be your thing, you aren't forced into it. You may argue then they get gear they don't deserve and can use it in crucible or iron banner. If they don't have the skill to earn it, then they won't have the skill to effectively use it. I would much rather the developers actually focus on game breaking glitches that effect everyone instead of cheese spots. And frankly, the crota cheese is a network issue and I highly doubt they'll be able to fix it without radically changing the mechanics of the game.

3 RepliesMaking use of an ability Like invisibility isn't an exploit, It's using what You Have. I can solo the lamps by a combination of jacking up My agility, double solar grenades, and keeping ahead of what's after me. Is that considered an exploit/cheesing too?

I'm a split vote. I would like the to see the first bits fixed. I don't find fighting Crota fun at all so I really don't care if they fix that.

1 ReplyUh, invisible is just solid application of a skill. The bridge revive and Crota is obviously exploiting bugs. Exploiting the Abyss would be more having one guy go off and lure all the thralls after him into a corner to exploit the fact that only a certain amount spawn at once so everyone else just strolls casually to the end, But yeah, they need to fix the exploits. While they're at it, maybe they can fix Crota's shield dropping without him kneeling, the Oversoul/Sky Eye being invincible (or not spawning the damageable entity), Swordkeepers/Gatekeepers that inherited the instant heal while being meleed from Atheon's precursor minotaurs (instant, not the regen that they have normally), The bridge saying its fully formed up to 10+ seconds before it actually is, etc.

I just hate that now a ton of scrubs who could never beat Crota are getting all the raid weapons lol.

No it won't be fixed before hard raid and deff won't be fixed before January is over also who the -blam!- cares its pve and the weapons as of now arnt that good in pvp everything does the same when hard mode comes out itll be a few guns that are ok but over all pvp will still be suros and shottys so get the -blam!- over it

3 RepliesThey need to fix crota himself before they do this. The fact that crota doesnt go down from time to time or that the chalice disappears or how quickly crota enrages is complete crap. Ive only had one good raid were non of that happened and we beat him finally

To all the kids crying about exploitation. You don't have to participate in them. Also it doesn't matter if anyone has the same gun as you or pieces of armor, there's not that many choices to pick from anyway. Those glitches are no different than a loot cave. It all falls into the preference of the individual player. I enjoy playing the game ether way. I even replay raids knowing I can't get any loot from the second time through. What happened to just having fun while playing a game. If you want to do it legitimately, post that in the recruitment section.

When hard raid comes out, this will most likely be fixed and cheesers won't be able to complete it
