As the title says really. Blink strike charges every 5 secs with the right perk. Without, it's not used often enough in pve to warrant losing out on int and discipline. The throwing knife, other than being cool as shit, is pretty useless and situational at best in pvp and pve. Again, certainly not worth missing out on int and discipline. The problem - we have precious little choice when it comes to armour and customisation as it is and much of our armour comes with the strength stat, reducing our (sensible) options even more. I'm not sure what I'm really asking for tbh - maybe give us a reason to go for strength so a large % of the available gear isn't redundant, or give more int/discipline armour choice. Take the current vanguard helmets - I can't bring myself to use the current int/disc gas mask helmet as it looks bloody awful! The other, half decent looking, hat has str. Utility vs aesthetics, don't make us choose! That's not fun customisation. So I have to go for the FWC helmet with it's silly looking coloured stripes on the front. Yey!

Wrong high strength and you can stay invisible the whole time in the first part of Crotas end. Easy solo and easy gear.
-
Good for staying invisible using blink strike. Good for charging flame shield. Good for charging force barrier. Regarding force barrier I run gift of light, so when I get melee kills it produces orbs of light, having force barrier available more often = more orbs.
-
Strength is even more useless for warlocks.
-
Strength is useless on all classes imo some exotics are even ruined by the fact that they have strength I mean its nice to get an energy drain or force barrier etc but if I dont have it I dont miss it at all How about strength increases regular melee damage or something

Edited by Swiftlock: 12/18/2014 7:56:41 PMI'm with you there. Strength is only really useful on Defender Titans and Sunsinger Warlocks since their melees give them protective shields. Mayyyybe Gunslinger if you're insanely good with the knife. For pretty much everyone else, focusing only Intellect + Discipline is the way to go. (yay FWC) They should really make Strength a more appealing stat to level up, like having it boost your melee attack speed or melee base damage, or even letting your melee stagger bigger enemies.
-
I was able to get VoG gear that gave me 100% Discipline and Intellect with 0 Strength. Just keep doing the raid and check your raid drops, they don't always have the same stats. I even had boots drop that had more stats than the ones I had previously.
-
My Hunter has 310+ discipline, grenades regen in no time.
-
I beg to differ, in PvP/against Vex Incendiary Blade is the way to go for the added damage.
-
My throwing knifes have killed countless enemies and bosses. Definitely not useless.
-
For the first part of the crotas end it is very useful
-
Disagree. The invisibility perk is a life saver. And the throwing Knife is also great for when you run out of ammo.
-
I'd like blink strike to actually do more damage than a normal melee. I get that there's backstab.. But that's pretty hard to use most if the time
-
You know what's great about the new helmet? You can't see it while playing.
-
if u dont kill every single cabal with a precision thrwoing knife you are doing it wrong. imo its the funnest mechanic in the game

Edited by GamerStar117: 12/18/2014 4:45:05 PMStrength is useless for all classes

Love using the double throwing knife and instant cool down with a precision kill
-
I like taking out spawning melee dregs and thrall with the throwing knife. They live right up for it lol, but I can see you're point. Warlock overshield is probably the most useful melee.
-
Strength is useless in general.
-
It's the most useless for titans.
-
Throwing knife is good for pve it one shots low lvl enemies and with the right perk instantly resets and it can stagger bigger opponents if you get caught short reloading I love it although a buff is always welcome!!
-
Hunters are useless for this game.

Dude throwing knife is so fun
