Updates We Wish We Had 1.2.0

[b]1.2 : The one about DLC, Exotics, and Base Game[/b] [b]THE DARK BELOW[/b] We realize that many of you who did not purchase The Dark Below were Locked out of content. Everyone should have access to their paid content whether is was DLC or initial game. We truly apologize for the huge mistake on our part, and hope that these changes along with many more to come will hopefully return all of you dedicated guardians back to having fun. [u] Endgame Activities[/u] • Daily missions, Weekly Heroics, and Nightfalls have been split into two areas. DLC and non-DLC. • Players who haven't purchased TDB will no longer be locked out of content. • DLC and non-DLC content will now have their own area for endgame activities. ˚ All players will have access to their paid content, Base or DLC. [u]Vanguard Strike Playlists[/u] ˚ Added LVL .26 Base game strike playlist - Vanguard Falcon ˚ Cryptarch Engrams have been returned to LV.24 Tiger Strikes as completion rewards. ˚ DLC strike playlists will have increased chance of earning one strange coin on completion. [u]Upgrading Exotics[/u] ˚ Xur, $7000 Glimmer, and Exotic Shards will no longer be required to upgrade Exotics for increased base damage. ˚ Exotics can now be upgraded to new base damages through the Gunsmith. [u]Gunsmith - Reforge to upgrade[/u] ˚ To upgrade items to new base damage, take exotic to Gunsmith for reforging. ˚ Two types of reforging have been added. 1) Base Damage 2)Base Perks. ˚ Base Damage reforging will cost 5,000 Glimmer, 100 Vanguard Marks, and a "Thank You!" for the Gunsmith. ˚ Base Damage reforging will add *1New Upgrade damage bubble to the weapons perk tree. Once unlocked, the damage can be increased to new damage cap. ˚ Base Perk Reforging will allow you to trade current perk tree for a different one . Will cost 8,000 Glimmer and 35 of one appropriate material type. [b] Base Game [/b] [u]Tower Vaults [/u] ˚ Increased storage space from 20 per Item type to 40. * more space can be purchased through special tower quests given by vendors. ˚ Added sorting options. items can now be sorted by WEAPON TYPE, DAMAGE, DAMAGE TYPE, RARITY, UPGRADE PROGRESS. ˚ Added new vault storage area called "Shared". Only Items placed in these storage spaces will be accessible by all of your characters. [u]Economy[/u] ˚ Glimmer cap increased from 25,000 to 50,000. ˚ Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks cap increased from 200 to 250. ˚ 1,000 - 5,000 Glimmer are now rewards that can be awared for varying difficulties of bounties and activities. ˚ Increased Crucible Marks earning from 3-win 2-lose to-----> 5-win 3-lose A game is a constant progression of converting conversation and dialogue between fans to developers. Sometimes that conversation can become cluttered. To us the most important thing is the people that keep us striving to make a game that is truly worth immersing yourself in. Destiny has become bigger than we could have ever imagined it becoming. The world of destiny wouldn't be as alive and vibrant with out all of our dedicated players. From all of us at Bungie we humbly thank you, and hope you continue this journey in the stars with us.

  • Your reforging idea sucks. 100 vanguard marks and we can only hold 200 marks as is. Do you know how long it takes to get 100 marks?

      You forgot a few: Introduced a Crucible Weekly Challenge. This will share rewards from the nightfall pool, allowing pvp players a chance to earn the same rewards. This challenge will require specific actions such as: killing 25 of each class, win 10 control matches and obtain 3 5 kill streaks. Faction Vendors will now accept either vanguard or crucible marks and commendations for their gear. Restored the option to buy marks with upgrade materials. Each area of the raid will give you a non transferable Raid Mark upon completion. Eris will sell raid weapons and armor for a set amount of marks. If you want VoG gear the Speaker is your man. Eris and the Speaker is able to Reforge in Light raid armor, resetting progression but refreshing the perks and stats. This costs Motes of Light. Xur is able to reset the stats, but not the perks on your Exotic armor for Strange Coins. Want dicipline on your Exotic helmet but have strength? This will let you better tune your build to make your own Legend. The Cryptarch gives increased chances of getting a better item out of an engram with each rank up. This caps at rank 100. At rank 7 you are able to buy faction shaders. The Guardian Vendor's stock of avaliable shaders has increased to 25 from 7.

      • More vault space No glimmer cap More ways to acquire glimmer in large quantities More blk wax, blue polyphage, etc. More PvP maps and game modes More earnable crusible marks and rep Better rewards in PvP and more often like resources, more glimmer, etc. Making VOG relavent again as well as their rewards In game use of grimore cards

        Bump. I still find it mind-boggling that the community can come up with such great ideas that the community supports for the most part, while the actual changes we get seem like they are half assed and poorly thought out. All bungie has to do is actually listen to these ideas and implement them...if they can the way the game is designed.

      • Another one of these threads. What a load of -blam!-. No one was locked out of paid content. Nightfall and weekly strikes and dailies were not launch content. Bungie added them. Your base game was the crucible, the story, the strike playlists and the raid. Huge mistake? Lol. As if Bungie care about players that just cost them money maintaining their servers vs. Those willing to support the franchise.

        • FAST TRAVEL!!! PLEASE i shouldnt have to beg BUT give us fast travel from planet directly to other planets or to the Tower. Or let us fast travel directly from the Tower to planets or Crucible/Strikes. The whole orbit transition DOESNT MAKE SENSE and IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME Your game will be more fun when you fix this. YOU COULD ALSO LET US LOGIN TO THE LAST LOCATION WE LOGGED OFF AT

                Some great ideas although I don't agree on all of them, here are 2 of my problems: mark limit should be raised to 500 not 250 and no material or glimmer for perk reforging; 8,000 glimmer can take a while to collect and if your not the farming type 35 mats will cost u 20 marks to get; instead just motes of light like how it was in IB.

                *BUMP* I personally agree with almost everything you have said. To me, my Destiny experience seems to be a more extended version of the Beta, and that is disappointing considering I paid £94.99 for my Limited Edition. I understand that this game is now a "franchise" and we can only hope that the second and third instalments are much better. However, they need to expand Destiny and make it more immersive and enjoyable as a game. Some of the features I believe would make Destiny more enjoyable and more successful will be outlined below. Please take your time to read them and potentially add them to your list. [b]Trading[/b] Something along the lines of a Destiny E-BAY would work very efficiently. Essentially, you have an Exotic or Legendary piece of equipment or Ascendant Materials that somebody needs whilst you need Glimmer to purchase other things and upgrades, so you place an Exotic Piece on the Trading System for $20,000 Glimmer and somebody could either purchase that for that price, haggle or request to trade for other items. A system like this would be efficient rather than acquiring two of the same items and having to dismantle the copy because it'd allow you to get rewarding things for them or things you need as a pose to crappy items that you already have a thousand of. This system would add a frontier to Destiny upon which you'd be able to trade materials for materials, and weapons for weapons. As Destiny currently stands however, it wouldn't work and some changes would have to be made. [b]Private Games[/b] Whilst Destiny isn't intended primarily for this, many communities have been rejected because of the lack of community replay value and, in essence, because of the lack of things to do. If they were to add Custom Games like we had in Halo where you'd be able to set up your own games to have 4v4s or 6v6s, we'd be able to participate in clan matches which actually give the clan community something to do besides raids once a week or casual patrol which, after a time, becomes boring and tedious. Larger FFA maps and and Team variants for this would be good because Destiny's competitive side has somewhat been rejected and this needs to be revitalised now and for future games. [b]Iron Banner[/b] I don't know if this has been tweaked, but the Iron Banner needs to be fully restored to the point where weapons and armour need to be fully optimised within the games, not just by 20%. The entire purpose of this originally was to test your armour, weapons and tactics against other teams and other Guardians. Thus far, it's just like Control - there's no challenge, and this must be restored entirely so that there's a purpose to it as a pose to just slightly. [b]Planet Expansion[/b] There also seriously needs to be bigger maps for patrols. Honestly, it gets so boring traversing the same map over and over again without being able to explore new sections, having to face challenging enemies and being able to recover cool, lost loot. What happened to the days where Bungie said, "that's not just a skybox; that's real, exploring world". We didn't get that, at least not to the extent we had hoped for. There needs to be more to explore, more loot locations, newer and harder enemies on patrol and an actual challenge to future missions. [b]Missions Being Immersive[/b] Bungie have always been renowned for making their campaign interesting and for their ability to involve their players. Thus far, the story is practically non-existent and there was no "story" to it. You activate an objective and hold off waves on enemies...and that's it. Yo, we want there to actually be a story where we're involved with it and the characters interact with each other on a personal level. [b]The Tower?![/b] The Tower [i]actually[/i] needs to be social; I'd like to talk to and with other Guardians on Destiny within the tower and ask them how they attained their unique piece of armour without having to waste my time sending messages to them. Furthermore, I'd like their to be some form of social aspect to it rather than just going back to the Tower to redeem and recover stuff and purchase more items. How about a CASINO? A place where you'd be able to gamble money on machines and in a form a poker to earn loot, materials or more Glimmer? That'd be awesome - a virtual arcade upon which you'd be able to interact and actually have fun. That would be interesting. Yo, the Tower's got a vast sandbox for expansion...but you need to actually do something with it. I'll add to this as I deem necessary, but that's it for now.                   • It shouldn't need to be split into DLC and non-DLC playlists. It should just recognize which if any DLCs players have and allow the appropriate strikes to be entered into the playlist. Simple as that. Not special anything and everyone gets what they paid for.
