This forum will erupt (and not in a good way) if they were to put Raid match-making in. So I'm all for it. :) Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near a Raid playlist. I can see why people are asking for it (generally no one on their friend's list or alternatively they're casual players), but there is a far better way to get into a RAID. There's already a 3rd party dedicated system in place for it and other things like the Thorn Bounty. DestinyLFG. The site's great. and it's pretty easy to market yourself to a group looking for a player or players. If someone takes the initiative to post there you can at least form the assumption they're committed to the run. Find a post from a group looking for a player and respond. EG Have Mic/Experience. Have X weapons at X level. We usually grab one or two from this site each week when running raids on alts. I think we've had one bad egg in the last 3 weeks. Booted him and grabbed another and then had a smooth run. Those against the Raid match making will most likely never jump into the playlist anyway. Its inclusion really won't be that much of a bother. To those who want it, I believe their opinion will change very fast. Like strikes, it would be plagued with quitters and those spawned into an existing game to make up the numbers will be less likely to stick around if they're not going to get all the loot or alternatively don't get the loot they want. I believe it will be abused by those looking to be carried. Those who genuinely want the run, will be left bitter, jaded and disappointed. The first 10 pages of this forum will be subsequently filled with "Fix broken raid match making" threads.

  • I honestly think that matchmaking will really help this game. Yeah there will be some problems but once you get enough people who work well together, its just easier to add them to your friends list, and roll with them every time. I played swtor a lot and did a lot of queued content. Once you meet good people to run with, you keep running with them. Matchmaking will serve its purpose. the kids who want to be carried or act stupid will take the hint when people keep dropping from the raid. It will all work out eventually.

  • I love the idea that you'd love match making just because you love chaos. I LOVE IT! lol

  • I wouldn't say I love chaos. It's just so obvious that chaos will ensue if this were to become a reality. People already get upset when casual gamers are on their team for crucible matches. A crucible match only lasts about 10 mins. How will the same people fair when they're stuck in the same environment for multiple hours. If you could stomach that, great. If not, steer well clear.

  • I definitely couldn't. Sometimes i can deal with a couple of casuals in crucible on my team but if I had a while team of casuals with me I'd be furious or quit.
