Bungie has a habit of releasing site changes in large, bulky updates rather than small tweaks here and there. For as long as I've been here, it seems the web team is always working on "something big and awesome" which usually coincides with the release of a new game; often times you'll find that many community suggestions are incorporated into the big update package. They also have a penchant for secrecy and surprises. Patience is a virtue :)
