Everyone getting exotics was probably a way too show them off a bit. I'm sure they'll be harder to get in the full game

That is possible. I would think Bungie would want to test their actual loot drop table and not a unique one made up just for the Beta.

Yea but they said that there are tweaks being made. I mean maybe they just up the rarity of items so people can't get exotics so early. If you can be level 8 and have a couple exotics that kind of takes away from the rarity.

True. I think Bungie has a little different strategy for Destiny when it comes to drop chances. Unlike other games where it is near impossible to get items of the highest rarity, I think it is going to be a bit more common in Destiny. We will have to wait and see at launch. I have some terrible luck with games so I'm hoping the drops are a little easier to get in this game. Like Amusekus suggested, they probably lowered the level requirement for the exotic drop table in order to test it (since, as you know, the level cap was 8).

Yea someone said in the most recent interview that people were getting items way before they normally will in the launch. They wanted people to see things and try things

If they used the one they planned for launch then they might not got the data they needed cause people couldn't get the gear. Just one perception on that.

I bet you are correct. They probably lowered the level requirement to get into the loot drop table for exotics. Makes sense.
