My friends will have me raid with them regardless of my class. Why? Because I bring a lot to the table. And I haven't made these friends yet, but I will. Being consistently top in Strikes, people added me, even though I was a "useless" hunter. The friends you make leveling up and then in end-game strikes, they'll be more than happy to bring you along as long as you make yourself invaluable. Reviving. Killing. Holding choke points. Make yourself invaluable, and the group will always make room for you :).
