Is anyone else disappointed that the PVP limit on players is 12? After playing BF4, anything less than 12v12 seems very last gen and slow paced. Even killzone had 24 player matches. At the very least have a big team battle game type like in Halo. While 3v3 and 6v6 can be fun and challenging, sometimes its just fun to jump into chaos and see who comes out on top. Anyone else agree?
Some of you guys seem to think I'm comparing BF4 and Destiny directly. I'm merely using it as an example. I do not want 64 player matches. I do not think every map should allow 24 players. All I'm asking for is a couple maps that can support 24ish players. Such as, Halos big team battles did. Or even CODs Big team deathmatch.

I'm down. But bigger the teams, bigger chance to end up with "that guy" and it effs up the whole game with just one of them..
-
Before they increase the player limit for PvP they need to do it for PvE first.
-
Doesn't bother me at all. Seems to work just fine the way it is.
-
I am really looking forward to the 3v3 PvP games. They were the best thing about that COD game* (* whichever cod game it was that introduced the 3v3 MP maps) :)
-
More players does not mean a better experience. I find 6v6 to be best with. 9v9 the max on larger maps. I remember everyone freaking out that titanfall was only 6v6 but it was the perfect fit for the game
-
I dunno man from what I experienced in the beta 6v6 felt nice
-
With the map size 6v6 works well.
-
I think it's a perfect balance. Cuz the game is pretty fast paced, and maps are kind of small. So you're gonna be running into people a lot. No need to worry about not finding someone to kill.
-
after MAG, anything under 32v32 just feels small and annoying.
-
Imagine. 24 supers at once... be pretty crowded

Edited by DadaLovezEnt: 8/10/2014 11:29:57 PMreally they should have did a 4v4 a 5v5 a 6v6 a 7v7 & a 14v14 and its a super battleon a huge map it would have been better & i think we didnt cause its nothing really wrong with the control 6v6
-
I'm not disappointed cause I'll very rarely play PvP.
-
I hated how big Battlefield MM was. Took forever to get to any action, a mass of brain-dead teammates, and opponents who just camped and sniped from some impermeable defense spot. The only time I had any fun was on small maps with fewer players.
-
With orbs generated too many people would have always supers.
-
I'm in concurrence with you on this. I love big battles. The chaos is such a beautiful thing. I would like to see AT LEAST 8v8.
-
tbh, 6 v 6 is fine. The amount of power we hold is enough to make us into one man armadas. And if you have faced against some really good players, or had a crazy good streak then you know what I mean by feeling like an Armada. Also, the maps are not large enough to warrant soo many folk. If we had 9v9 then I can easily see people just splitting their forces 3 per base.

I think it is more of a bandwidth issue sense the game is mostly being streamed to your console from the servers and p2p is being implemented in multiplayer matches maybe it was a design choice. Imagine if you have all this content being streamed through one persons ps4. If 64 people were on the match it might crash the game or make for an extremely laggy situation. I think that if they had dedicated servers for multiplayer, then they could surpass 6v6.
-
More players doesnt mean better multiplay i personally think skill falls off proportionatly to how many players you have in a givin match . it means your contuibution is less important to victory and i dont think it fits in destiny well being the skill based shooter it is
-
Definitely has been discussed a couple times since the alpha, but I would love to see some big team stuff!
-
Edited by BigMurii: 8/10/2014 10:53:05 PMI wouldn't worry about it, yes it is very very small compared to Battlefield 4, well Battlefield in general, but for Destiny it fits perfectly, if it changes then it will probably be perfect.
-
I don't know, I don't think we got enough of a bite of multiplayer to see how things feel balance wise, it might be super weird to have a large number of players with supers and specific buffs running around
-
I agree, the most fun I've ever had in halo was in the big team battle hoppers.
-
I also really like Rumple Pit/Lone Wolves as well as 2-man-team battles. I think it would be cool to see 6v6v6v6
-
Someone probly already said it but all we got was beta, who knows there could be option we haven't seen yet in pvp.
-
Too many players might result in re-spawn locations being excessively camped...not too appealing. More players adds up to more probability that YOU will be killed.
-
Forget teams I want rumble pit. 12 person death matches where every is trying to kill each other would be awesome. The choas man would that be something to see.
